Randolph Ramsay answers some questions from the GameSpot community about the PS3-exclusive Heavy Rain in Gamespot AU's Questionarium.
I think even Pokemon might be too complex for him; Halo is probably more his style.
HonorOfGod, people like you make me sick. Now there's a studio trying to do something different and ignorant people like you are just too plain stupid to appreciate it. Sucks to be you if you can't execute any simple combination of buttons or are utterly unable to enjoy a more subtle, but ultimately much more powerful story than you'd find in any given Mario game. Go back and enjoy your Pokemon games and let us mature players advance in more sophisticated games.
@coldisland yeah.. you have to press R1+R2+X+ bla bla bla just to climb stuff or scoot a heavy set man behind the trash... and people say this is a game... >.> heavy rain = good story but seen t all before + Crap (IF ANY) gameplay because there is none.. BTW how did that kid get outside so fast lamo he got through that entire place in a matter of secs packt with tons of people, stairs plus he had to dodge all the cars outside in a matter of seconds... WHAT THE BUCK!
If they made this like Indigo Prophecy, the using the toilet and getting something to drink thing is not mandatory. You have a "stamina" meter, and if it reaches zero, you "die". It's kind of like the trust meter in Splinter Cell: Double Agent. Positive achievements throughout the game, such as getting rest, having something to eat, or finding someone to emotionally support you would increase the meter. Not getting enough food, hearing that the police are on your trail, or having a haunting "vision" caused the meter to decrease. You also had to keep more than one character's meter high. The main character felt relief when he hid evidence, and the detective felt it when she uncovered evidence. So doing things such as using the toilet or taking a shower were optional, but you were better off doing it because it would relieve the characters' stress.
omg, this game is fantastic.
The demo was surprisingly fun. I watched videos of the demo, but when you play through it the bad voice acting and awkward movement is less noticeable(since your actively engaged in it rather than sitting back and watching). I don't get the sim like bathroom and washing your ass game play though, hopefully you don't have to continue to brush your teeth every mourning throughout the game.
i love it but some not. it's not important beacuse ilove it
@doontime @HonorOfGod ign are no better. On there list of games not due out till this year, for some reason eye pet is on there???? Thats funny because its been out for a while now. Ign may have a review of this game but are still way behind on other things.
Oh God Really This Game Going To Be Amazing Game In The World And Soundtrack Is Amazing .... And I Am Sure This Game Will Take 10 From 10 For Sure ..... Thanks God I Have PS3 .. Microsoft Going To be Crazy From Sony ...
My Favorite Part of this Preview... "Sex, well we haven't seen much of that yet" Character Staring at young boy with a menacing glare.
I really dug Indigo Prophecy, although it went all to crazy-go-nuts about two thirds of the way through. It looks like the developers learned from that lesson and are giving us something more akin to what we originally expected for IP. Very much looking forward to this, now.
After playing the demo, there seems to be enough "game" here for this to be enjoyable. I like it.
Has anyone tried the Playstation Network demo yet?
Its a movie, meets shenmue, meet GTA 4- Its just gotta be awesome. I never played indigo prophecy, but im gonna see if i can find it.

The demo was awesome, loved the fight
@shtinky cause Australians are awesome, and on ots they have the least likable of their staff hosting it, they need more shaun mcclinnis hosting, that guy is awesome.
i really want toplay this game but i decided to buy a xbox rather than ps3 (GOOD ONE!) i remember playing fahrenheit which was really enjoyable in some places and i hoped for more games like that but with a more believable story that doesn't turn kind of stupid at the end i spose this will be it i am a bit gutted.
crosshairs is better than today ots
demo looked fun especially the CSI style bits and the combat, not sure if i could be bothered with all the showering and teeth brushing
this game is scary if its like playing a film, then it will raise the bar of games
You can get the demo early if you complete a little game on the precinct 52 website. It's easy, go do it. Game looks awesome and the gameplay is basically the same as fahrenheit, just presented a lot nicer.
what a crap first question.
@brendanhunt1, hows that possible, the demos not out yet...
@brendanhunt1 how did you get a demo i looked for it and could not find it?
just finished the demo.
What do you mean "you people"?
This game looks so unbelievably awesome and I am definitely going to buy it. The reviews so far are very positive.
I can not even play patience game this topic Thanks
Thank you Rudolf. Trophies popping up was my biggest concern. I like the PS3 better when they didn't have them.
My poor wallet is going to be pretty empty over the next few months. Even worse I just started dating again and now all these tasty games are coming out. Oh well....plenty more fish in the sea and all that! Hahaha! The PS3 is racking up some amazing titles in it's library of games. When I bought mine two years ago no-one I knew had one as they were already 360 owners. I never doubted my choice of console. Nice one Sony! :)
Awesome can't wait for this game:)
I can't wait for this game!! I absolutely loved Indigo Prophecy and hopefully this one will be just as good!
The demo is only 10 to 15 mins.
i'm dowloadin the demo can't wait to play it
I just hope the story is good. Even if the gameplay is not spectacular, if the story is good, it will be worth buying.
man im waiting for the demo to come out hopefuly the demo can be enough to make me want to get thind game........ dont get m wrong i luv the idea of the game, and iv always wanted a massive story driven game similar to mgs but im not sure if the gameplay will be repetitive with the same old button pressing qte's at every corner....... if any of you can help me choose it would be much appreciated. thnx
Finally a different game!!!
the game seems amazing but....i just don't get it what is this about? what kind of gameplay does it contian in it?
Man, I wish I had a PS3... And the time and the money...
This, AvP, Bad Company 2, Just Cause 2, , man im gonna be broke these next few months!
