Yeah, running into someone is slim, cause chances are they would see you coming and side-step. This game will be good if there was online modes for co-op, spotpass, and a online store/auction house. But even without that, you should get streetpasses by going to places that you would know there would be someone, at my local mall I don't get $#%^ all. At my walmart, bestbuy, gamestop, almost any gaming stores you can get a streetpass. But again the issue being that the chances of them playing the same game is really little. Out of all the streetpasses I have received so far(about 90), only 1 of them had Resident Evil Mercenaries in the 3Ds at the same time.
The hour of our departure has arrived, and we go our ways - I to die, and you to live. Which is better God only knows.

Ya, in most areas of the US I would agree. Good point. But just imagine if you live in Tokyo....
I heard in Tokyo, you can pick up Street Pass'ers just sitting on the john.

Streetpass is really just a Japan thing. It was always going to be worthless outside of school settings in America. Even then that's questionable since many schools don't allow game devices and have problems with cell phones. Then there are schools where you don't even want to bring something like a 3DS there or it can get stolen. Honestly I wouldn't mind if they just started ignoring that section of a game when it comes to talking about western releases. It simply isn't a selling point in the end because it goes largely unused.

I've noticed an odd thing:
When someone near me is using a cellphone; I often can't get streetpasses even when I am standing right next to a person who I know has streetpass. Thing is it doesn't ALWAYS happen, so I can't pin down what's gong on. Maybe wifi enabled phones screw with streetpasses but not regular ones?

I disagree, between the U-District (college area) and Downtown Seattle, I get StreetPasses all the time... At least two or three a day if I leave it in the window at work X3
I've traded a ton of MK7, Super Mario 3D Land, and Street Fighter stuffs. Now this is also a couple of conventions, but I have a plaza population of 602...
As for other people having problems with it, make sure you're not playing regular DS games, DSi games, or have any applications open that stop the wi-fi. You can't StreetPass at all while you are. [figured that out when I walked through PAX and got NONE] It can also take *up to* a couple minutes for 3DS's to talk to each other and trade all the info.
Also, move away from the middle of nowhere, and get nerdier friends

but don't expect Nintendo to nix a feature just because it's inconvenient to you and where you live :/
