- "Disappointing"
I am a huge fan of all the Hitman games. For me I would rate them all at least 9/10 just because I'm such a fan of the series i've played them all in and out, gotten Silent assassins and beat the games on pro difficulty. I love the sandbox approach to each level with different ways to assassinate your enemy. But this game offers none of that.
Here we have another "Next-gen" remake of a series we all loved. Forget gameplay and sticking to the script, but as many series this generation we go to a more simplistic linear approach with better graphics to appeal to wider audiences. Which would be fine, but this game is advertised as a sandbox game, which it is NOT.
This game is nothing like the other Hitman games. The level design is completely changed and linear. A few cool gameplay elements have been added, more realistic kills, and online mode. But I am not here to review all these features.
Some of the new features are sick, cool accident kills that look brutal, the multiplayer is fun, lots of weapons and upgrades to collect.
Just warning any fellow fans of the Hitman series....This game IS NOT WHAT THEY ADVERTISE. It is in NO WAY a "sandbox" game or true Hitman sequel. The story is pathetic at that, considering the end of Blood Money could have lead into a great game. I am not "hating" on this game I spent my $60 and I am still playing it on my 2nd time through. I simply love the series if the game was rated a 1/10 I would still have bought it. But this game is truly a disappointment, take it from a longtime Hitman fan.

Hitman Absolution is an almost perfectly executed addition to this series, but ultimately it falls short of perfection.

Absolution is a fun, third-person action-adventure game; it just isn't worthy of the Hitman name.
