Homefront is a traditional FPS like Call of Duty, Medal of Honor etc, what put's it on a hard position n competing with established franchises that have a strong following. Homefront gives you an futuristic fictional battle that takes place on US soil while under a Korean invasion. It's quite a compeling story that brings a refreshing feeling that you're not military, but a rebel faction trying to fight the invasion and establish US as a free country.

The mechanics of the game are pretty similar with COD, nothing groundbreaking here, but it works just fine, controllers are responsive and the weapons have a very solid feel. Sound is full and the overal presentation it's pretty good. The game has some decent graphical presentations, but some of the models do look pretty bad, but in the whole context, the game looks pretty good.

The game can be challenging if you play it on the hardest difficulty, but there are frequent checkpoints to break the tedious restarting. The game did freez on me several times, forcing me to force restart the PlayStation. I love how the story unfolds and how realistic the scenario was put together. It's a very competent FPS, recommended to shooter fans that need to give COD a break.
