Hotline Miami User Review
An instant classic in the mold of the original Grand Theft Auto.

- The Bottom Line:
- "Instant classic"
Hotline Miami (along with the praise it is receiving) will help prove to the mainstream gamers that modern day graphics and animations are not always necessary in a popular genre. This game will help the already growing indie gaming industry gain some more strength and hopefully give gamers and aspiring developers a boost in motivation to create their own games. It doesnt take EA's Microsoft's and Activision's to put out great games, only high-end graphics.
The low detail graphics are part of what helps this game give off the amazing atmosphere it has. With low visual details it forces the gamer to visualize and imagine more with their own creative mind. The fantastic soundtrack is one of the best in history of gaming and helps guide the gamers imagination throughout the surrealistic story of the game. The menu's also look good and go with the rest of the game.
This game reminds me of the first time playing grand theft auto which was similarly violent and a big step backwards in terms of graphics. Not only visually similar, this game has the same instant-classic feeling of grand theft auto, although its not revolutionary (yet) so im not sure it will take off into a best-selling series.
So take advantage of the low price and play this game while everyone else is still enjoying it.
