See some of the gameplay in Ubisoft's postapocalyptic adventure game coming to Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network.
gameplay looks ok, we'll see the story, but the graphics are almost as if it was a ps2 game :S though i'm still interested a little
@yasso I dont quite understand your logic in how the game wont get high reviews because of its graphics ... first off they look fine, hardly ground breaking but a really good effort, second those games you mentioned were very highly reviewed ... I think you under-estimate the majority of gamers tastes, the majority of the hardcore will over look a games looks if the game is good
The story is already intriguing, and there are several innovative and nice ideas there, allowing you to do good and so on--lovely stuff, but even if the gameplay and writing throughout are great, there's no way this game is going to get high reviews or popularity among lots of players with these graphics. Let's remember that Mass Effect 1 and 2 did not have wow graphics (jaggies that you can never AA in ME2 anyone??), but the games were great, ME2 was still epic...due to great gameplay and amazing writing (story), and their graphics...as sub-par as they were, were still better than this here! I seriously don't know what Ubisoft Shanghai are thinking, and I do feel sad for this IP's concepts and wasted nice ideas here and there.
@LE5LO Not sure if that was a "crumbling ledge" in this video, I barely caught it... The "crumbling ledges" in "UC2" aren't that great either. They were obvious (all the red ones) and annoying and too many, making it lame and time-consuming... They should have either left them out or made them better. As if it would make it more exciting when I KNOW exactly which ledges would crumble, doesn't make sense...
00:52 seconds - nobody does crumbling ledges like Naughty Dog in UC2. Also, for a modern game I expect more than low res sepia textures hidden by dust, also, if it's just a normal guy why are Ubisoft making him some climbing expert on par with Sly in Cliffhanger, as cynical as I sound I'm intrigued by this new, ambitious I.P, but expecting the gameplay and story to fall short of what's been hyped for years now.
ME: Hey Gamespot, why the 30 second WoW ad's for every video...even the short ones!? (IMAGINED) GAMESPOT REPLY: Activision paid us heaps for it. ME: Arrggghh...Please stop!!!
Kinda reminds me of Thief on the pc in a way...I originally thought this was gonna be an awsome zombie, survival game...dammit!
Looks ok so far but trailers like these often let you believe that the game is better than it really is.
I think it look fantastic. Looks Ike what post apocalyptic fans have been waiting for some time now, no mutants and heavy machine guns with a mad max style setting, looks like every encounter seems dangerous. Though the guy said there is nothing quite like it, I would venture that its going to have snake eater Ike elements to the game where you forage for food and what not, while traversing around prince of assassins creed style with a Nathan drake like protagonist. Looks good, and the graphics I have no problem with, has a certain look about it that seems intentional as well as to save money. If the price is right and the reviews don't day it's a buggy pos than I will play it. It is ubisoft guys, they are great at making games IMO. One of the best developers out there who actually push the envelope.
Looks incredible! This is the type I'd go for and it feels like Resident evil, assassin's creed and Uncharted blended in!
Uncharted with some fps style combat? Could either be really great or REALLY BAD. I hope its the first, cuz this looks cool!!
Finally! I mean, finally a game in a post apocalyptic world without you having to face mutants and mega monsters around every corner, no, now we get the best and worst enemies; humans.
Maan, the animation is sweet.I read that the game will be dlc because they don't expet it to sell so much.I hope they are wrong.I like the consept(which is not so original many people will say)because i think it 'll be very humane.I meen that you're fighting people who are trying to protect themselves and their clans from you and you're trying to do the same.Every kill you will do will have a serious motivation..These are my expectations anyway. This may be the sleeperest hit of all time.Maybe even more than Arkham Asylum
Can't wait to get this for my Xbox . I never heard of this title before and I hope that this new idea of game will make it worth buying
sooo...the game is still...alive.That's good news for now. A release date would be nice to anticipate folks;) Anyone ?
Here's to hoping, that this will be a non-linear, true to the survival and not thriving in a post-apocalypt, and that its long, to the point of being able to play after finishing the game.
post apocalyptic.....the only ones who can actually make that genre are Russians......the feeling in stalker, metro was very pure f**king survival...
