Warrior's Lair should not be on this list, since it has not been that long for the developers to announce details of the video game.
2 Like The disapperance and hide-and-seek act of FF Versus XIII is what hurts me the most. I don't know why Square Enix continues to toy with Tetsuya Nomura. All he gets to do is Kingdom Hearts remakes, ports, and portable releases. Yet we can't get anything console-wise from him. There is no excuse why Kingdom Hearts 3 and Versus didn't come out this console generation. Square is such a joke now when it comes to the development side of things.
I just found out that The Last Guardian is indeed a PS4 title!

I really do not believe The Last Guardian will be a PS4 Title! Since the remaining Team ICO devs are bashing their heads on the wall in order to make their engine runs on the PS3, during all these years after so much trouble I think they will not recreate it with a new engine for the PS4. It will take more 10 years of development. I bought my ps3 with only one game in mind... The Last Guardian and to be sincere I just got tired of waiting... tired of promisses and delays... tired of a bunch of FPS during the entire year!
@Mihilux I don't believe they've been having trouble with the hardware side of things. In the Team Ico game collection bonus videos, they mention that the level design was giving them the most problems and had high praise for the PS3 hardware.
Maybe Warrior's Liar or Ruin is in limbo because they are trying to make it feasible due to the lack of interest in the Vita.
i have long waited and gave up for 13 versus on ps3.
also, because of versus stall, no kingdom hearts game on ps3.
what a waste of time and console.
hope square enix better have these titles on ps4. and, i mean ps4 EXCLUSIVE.
@PSYCLOWN185 Wasn't it supposed to be an MMO, or online only? Don't remember because it's been a while since I have seen or heard anything about it.
It's nice to hear about what happened to Lair. It was the main reason I had an interest in the Vita. The name change seemed awful, then it disappeared...
And now PS4 launching with sequels of mediocre PS3 exclusive "hits."
Killzone and Infamous are not system sellers imo. They are actually the worst examples of "hits" in their respective genres. But, it looks like they'll have more than a demo for a racing sim this time XD
Ni No Kuni, Disgaea 3/4, Atelier Rorona/Meruru/Totori/Ayesha, Hyper Dimension Neptunia/MK2/Victory, Gran Turismo 5, Uncharted 1/2/3, Folklore, Heavy Rain, Record of Agarest 2, GoW 3, Resistance/Killzone Franchises, 3d dot hero, Ar Tonelico Ooga, Demon Souls, , Little Big Planet, Metal Gear Solid IV, Tales of Grace F, Tales of Xillia, Valkyria Chronicles.
Jesus man, not only does the ps3 have no decent exclusives, hell it has no good exclusive rpgs. What a crappy system, it only has every notable rpg the xbox has except lost odyssey, some in better formats like Star Ocean international edition; but also has some rpgs found n the Wii but not the xbox like Rune Factory, and then it still has more exclusive rpgs that are good to great than both combined. I am not even listing ones the rpgs that I liked but went underrated like White Knight Chronicles, Trinity Universe, and Cross X Edge. Not to mention the exclusive from action/adventure to racing to family to fps are also top notch.
Look if the games you were waiting for are Last Guardian and Versus, then ps3 has more than enough content to make it superior to the other systems minus those two games. If you say otherwise you are just a sour xbox fan boy because ps3 ended up getting better versions of pretty much ever jrpg from eternal sonata to star ocean, or a hurt nintendo lover wondering why the company stopped making good consoles back in the 90s.
@kiramasaki I just wonder how many exclusives they have in Japan that we will never see or even hear of. And there is no need to try and piss of the xboxers.
2 Like Last Guardian is the only one I really care about.... FF has been kind of a joke lately.... But the last guardian looks amazing
@uglypinkmoose Feels like out of all the games square releases the FF franchise has been the least successful, so far the only thing they've done right with it is re-releasing the old FF games on the newer platforms.
1 Like I solely bought a PS3 to play GTA 4 and would definitely do it again if GTA 5 was only PS4
@Ghstmn8899 LOL. Me too, well I bought it a day after GTAIV came out knowing it wouldn't be the only game I would get for the system. And 45 some odd games later it's a great game but not even close to the best one I have played for the PS3. I remeber a friend of mine saying you bought it just for GTA? His brother responded "yeah, just for now".
1 Like They managed to sell that many units because vita owners have no other decent games to play on vita !!!
I'm guessing some of these will either return as PS4 games, or games you'll be able to DL after the PS4 is released.
1 Like @soulless4now @benleslie5 If they announce that Versus XIII is to become a PS4 title, I'm sure many of us will say, "Yeah, thought so."
Furthermore, the longer it takes for Versus XIII to finish, the longer we have to wait for another console Kingdom Hearts (of course, I'm not talking about HD remakes).
@Yomigaeru @soulless4now @benleslie5 That's the biggest reason for my heart break. KH3 is being held up for a single game. I know the KH team is the one developing Versus, but it would make more sense to let one of the other studios like the one that worked on Birth by Sleep to at least start on KH3.
1 Like Sadly, that's the only game that would make me buy a PS3. I smell a cancelation soon. SW Battlefront 3 was 99% done according to some articles, but the studios suddenly decided to close the project due to finnancial problems. I bet the same will happen to TLG. A game with over 4 years of development can't earn enough profit to make the money spent with production worth it. Yeah Sony, you missed a good opportunity. I have good hopes for today's show, anyway.
