The PSP seems to be getting a lot more love lately, and with a game like this you can see why. First of all I have to point out the graphics, which are beautiful. It's not the best looking game on a technical standpoint, but the art direction more than makes up for that. A small thing that impressed me was the details of the stages, whether it's fire in the background or running water, it's still pleasing to the eyes. The battle are your typical SRPG fair with a few stages that have puzzle elements, but can still usually be beat by brute force. The story, of course, is a fantasy retelling of Joan of Arc, but with plenty of neat(yet a little cliche) plot twist. The voice acting in the anime cut scenes are decent, and I give them props for actually having the French characters have French accents. The music is nothing to write home about, but it isn't unpleasing to the ears. One of the reason this game is so great though is the fact that it works well on the PSP. There were no awful load times, and the controls were solid. The only thing I could have ask for is more unit management.
