Jeanne d'Arc User Review
- Difficulty:
- Easy
- Time Spent:
- 20 to 40 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Grows on you"
A great Stratagy (spelling :S) Role Playing Game for the PSP
Gameplay -
A generally simple SRPG system. First you (Player) goes first and moves all the units around the grid. The enemy then moves/attacks/ect their units across the grid, and the cycle continues. There is a turn limit, but for the most part doesn't really affect the game. This system is generally described as one to introduce you to the genre, and that's right. It's quiet simple, but can be as complex as you make it.
Graphics -
The graphics for this game are surprisingly good. The characters/scenery are full 3d, along with the cut scenes, with the exception of the anime cut scenes, in which voice acting occurs.
Story -
The story, like the game in general, is surprisingly good. It does have it's historical refrences to Joan of Arc, but most of it made up, which is good. As the story goes on, you meet new "people" and some units even leave your team, for good or to come back. I'm not going to say much more, because I don't want to spoil anything.
Music -
Eh, the music is ok I guess. I was never really a big fan of video game music, and this game is no different.
Jeanne D'Arc is a good, but generally simple SRPG for the PSP, but it's a gem in my eyes.
