Holy cow that was awesome. Knew it was Xemnas. And I so thought the MC was dead.
You liked that, huh? Well, that makes me feel good. See, this is the reason I'm doing this, to give people something they can enjoy. Sure, there doesn't seem to be a whole lot following this thing, but that doesn't matter to me. As long as someone gets some enjoyment out of this, then I'm happy.
Of course, don't expect the Xemnas fight to be the most epic thing here. I intend to have some big things go down in the story. Also, Xemmy won't be the only familiar face in here.

"The angels have the phone box". - Nov 18, 2012 2:01 pm GMTChapter I
The sunlight shines down on you almost painfully, rousing you from what was a fairly peaceful sleep. You are surprised to find that you feel a bit stiff, however, and wonder why that is. That's when it all comes back to you. Xemnas, the fight, getting thoroughly beaten. A second surprise occurs when you realize you're in your room at home. How you got there is a mystery, but there seem to be a lot of mysteries abound, so you don't worry much about it. Instead, you freshen up and head out to HQ, where you're sure everyone is waiting for you.
Sure enough, you find all of the others are indeed hanging around, a look of anticipation on their faces. Alyssa notes that they thought you were dead as she spots you walking in. This is followed by Gray demanding to know what happened. You give everyone a quick summary of what happened, feeling somewhat ashamed that you lost to Xemnas so easily and embarrased that you slept for an entire day afterwards. Minerva reminds you that you're still training to be a better swordsman, and that you'll one day be able to handle an enemy like that. She also asks you to let her know should Xemnas show up again. After you promise to do so, and assure everyone that you're just fine, Minerva says that it's time to get back to business, as there are Heartless to be exterminated. You briefly wonder why no one brought up the other event from the day before, thinking back to Eva and how you healed her, but put it on the back burner of your mind thinking that maybe everyone realized that you had no idea how you did it. Whatever the case, there are things to be done.
About story progression and special events: From here on out, the main story will be interspersed with missions you can go on to gain experience and munny. Also, there will generally be multiple missions that you can choose from, meaning that not everyone has to do the same mission. Adds variety. Special events are just things you can do while at HQ or similar places that might just be for laughs, or maybe offer rewards. Your choice if you want to do them. The first mission is required, by the way.
Available special events:
Minerva's Intense Training 1: Minerva offers you the opportunity for some training alongside her. Might be worth doing.

Getting 2 potions and 2 mana restoratives, which if my math is correct, cuts my cash in half. Also definitely training with Minerva- after that thrashing, I need it!
Trophies: Beginners' Luck. (Will these do anything, like boost stats, as in RE: Coded?

Minerva's Intense Training 1: Minerva decides to make your first training session with her a friendly sparring match, just to see what your current skill level is. She proceeds to put you through an absolute nightmare of a match, pushing you to your very limits. When all is said and done, you're amazingly tired, yet feel stronger for it. Maybe you should train with her more often. All stats +1!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mission Start
After sufficient preparation, you head out to the Business District, with Alyssa and Alec in tow. Initially surprised that he wanted to come, you realize fighting alongside him could teach you something useful, and relish in the opportunity to learn. It's a quiet journey to the combat area, filled with the usual anxiety that comes with not knowing exactly what you'll find once you get there. A look over at Alyssa reveals that she's feeling the same way, judging by her facial expression. Despite all of the training the two of you have gone through, it still isn't easy stepping into battle. You make a silent promise to keep an eye on her and watch her back.
Upon your arrival, Heartless are spotted immediately. You summon the Keyblade and rush into battle, your two partners behind you. The group of Soldiers are defeated easily(30 exp. points, 75 munny earned). You move deeper into the area, coming up on a lone Large Body. Remembering the fight with one in the park the day before, you are able to avoid it's attacks and take it out by yourself(15 exp. points, 25 munny earned). Alyssa and Alec take out a few Heartless on their own, leaving the area empty. Alec warns you to stay on your guard, however, as this can't possibly be the extent of the enemy's numbers.
A scream for nearby seems to confirm that staement, and you and the party head into the alleyway ahead to check it out. Your heart clenches in guilt as you find yourself too late to save a civilian from losing their heart to a humanoid-looking Heartless. Alec thinks that this is the leader of the currently attacking Heartless, and runs after it as it leaves the scene. Alyssa follows suit, as do you, but you soon stop as you spot what looks like a dog going into the open door of a large building. You start to ignore it, but think that it might've been a Heartless. In addition to that, the open door could mean something's wrong. Alec and Alyssa have gotten far ahead of you now, so no help unless you call them. It could be a waste of time, though. Should you check it out alone?
A: Follow the dog and check out the building.
B: Catch up with your friends and don't worry about it.
Is following that dog gonna lead to something important, or is it nothing? Decisions, decisions....

"The angels have the phone box". - Nov 19, 2012 11:54 am GMTOh yeah, I neglected to mention this yesterday, but whenever a chapter is completed, or after certain events, HP and magic uses are restored. Sorry I forgot that, still getting used to all this. That means everyone is fresh for this mission.
@Defender: Never got around to playing Re:Coded(thank you broken DS, so much help you are!), so can you explain to mean how trophies work in that game?

Stat update. Trophies (or rather their data chips) raise HP by 2, and all other stats by 1. Too OP for this?
Also, I choose A.

"The angels have the phone box". - Nov 20, 2012 3:38 pm GMTSo my original plan didn't go through. I'm performing some story tweaks, and currently posting on a PSP. In other words, check back tomorrow morning. Sorry, guys.

"The angels have the phone box". - Nov 21, 2012 2:37 am GMTIf you chose to follow the dog:
You run after the animal, Keyblade at the ready in case it was a Heartless. Inside, you find a storage area with boxes piled up everywhere. There's no telling what could be hiding around, so you move through slowly. After taking several steps, you hear a noise from behind a stack of boxes. You approach them cautiously, ready to strike if an enemy pops out. You're just about to look behind the boxes, when something leaps out from behind them and tackles you. Thankfully, it's just the dog, and there doesn't seem to be anything else around. The dog lets out a bark, then heads out of the storage building. On the way out, it drops something. You pick it up, and are surprised to find that it's a crystal filled with Thunder magic! How lucky you are. Learned Thunder!
Surprised at how fast your friends can move, you race to catch up with them after being distracted. It doesn't take you a long time to join them, thankfully. Unfortunately, the reason for that is that they're being attacked from all sides and can't escape! A group of Red Nocturnes and Blue Rhapsodies continually circle them, all the while sending Fire and Blizzard spells their way. From what you know of these enemies, magic can work on them, but it needs to be the right kind. With two differing types floating about though, magic is an iffy choice. The Keyblade works wonders on them, however. You leap into battle, moving like the wind and slaying the Heartless one after another. One or two spells do manage to hit you, though. Nevertheless, you defeat the enemies and free your friends from the attack(30 exp. points; 50 munny earned). Alyssa starts to thank you, but her words are drowned out by cries of fear from two different directions. Alec says to split up and check them out. Great idea, but there's three of you. One person will be alone. That's worrisome, but can't be helped. Alec gives you a choice of who to go with. So who's it gonna be?
A: Go with Alec.
B: Go with Alyssa.
Sorry this took so long. Got sidetracked by numerous things, and ended up rewriting this whole segment. Thank you for your patience.
