Kingdom of Fire the Crusade was one very tough game. Hard is an understatemement. Hope they haven't made this one so unforgiving. Will wait for more infro before casting my vote on this game.

@Xtremeelectro I agree that it is very much like LOTR, with the big trolls the dragons which look like the things in LOTR that the lich king rides. And the big skeleton which is basically the same as a elephant which they had in LOTR. But i wouldn't call it a wannabe version, it might even be better then LOTR, who knows.

Wow, I guess none of the LoTR's people here have ever watched LoTR. This looks and has nothing to do with it. Just cause LoTR has orcs and humans does not mean anything. I don't recall any of the LoTR BS being used for the Dungeons and Dragons games.... I guess you can expect this from dumb asses. I own the LoTR Extended editions, I played the original KUF I have not seen any Hobbitseez nor have I seen any freaking similarities to the trolls. So before you say anything, when you think you are going to be clever, just think about it, then post. BTW I have a hard time believing this is the game play footage for the 360. Something tells me the 360 version will be watered down, or laggy. I hope they can prove me wrong though.

As long as they stay as far away from circle of doom it should be great.

To be honest. The first ones were better than LOTR and any other game and video. Kingdom Under Fire is the best game series ever with the best storyline ever.

Nope, it is not a wannabe LOTR. It has done everything better than any LOTR game. This one looks set to be even better than the movies!

@pr0snyp3r: Phantagram is a Korean studio, not Japanese. And Japanese soundtracks are awesome! btw, very nice armor and weapon designs, much better than the rest of those cheesy Korean games.

the music doesn't fit this game whatsoever!!!! god damn, this is what i hate about japanese games, their voice acting and music always struggles. You would not hear that kind of metal....ish music in Lord of the rings. the begining music was great though, very epic and fitting... then it went downhill.

is it a real-time or 3 person shooter game?

Combat looks sick, thankfully its like The Crusaders and not Circle of Doom.

@mayceV and Bumpercarj Actually, Tolkien did pretty much invent what we now know as orcs. Tolkien basically invented the basis for every modern fantasy world. He drew inspiration from various sources, including Beowulf, and combined them into the definitive genre that is now known as fantasy.

Can't wait for this game. I am still not sure what is different about the online play than past games but this game is at the top of my list. And lord of the rings is not even close to how good these games are.

Have played Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders and it is one rough game. I mean it was one of the most difficult to play. The difficulty of this new installment I will have to watch as other gamers rate it. Hope the developers have tone down the hardcore gaming experience.
