GameSpot AU talks to Gabe Newell and Erik Johnson about Left 4 Dead 2's Australian ban.
BOOMER!
For those of you confused as to probably why there is a problem in australia with l4d2, I believe it has to do with the enhanced gore engine, unlike l4d1 where arms and legs flew off, this one is much more advanced and realistic looking. It is a more gorey game simply because of how much you can remove from zombies bodies. Also I agree with blx, who's dumb ass idea was it to put music in the background.
what idiot has overlayed background music on this interview?
BOOOMERRRR
nice one masterkrom xD
you don't have to look far to see where the inspiration for the BOOMER came from hey. inhouse organic model
might get it, (dont hav the first one) so...
I am very perplexed by the decision of Australia's OFLC. Left 4 Dead 2 is likely to be no more 'adult' than Left 4 Dead 1. Perhaps they take offense to the new stuff, such as the melee weapons? One of which include a frying pan, a very pervasive domestic utensil? I find it hard to think that the OFLC could be offended by such frivolous things. I would like to think that there's an anti-Valve conspiracy behind this refusal to rate Left 4 Dead 2, specifically an anti-American commercial blockade, but Valve has a serious presence in the Country Down Under.

Can't wait!
lol at about 2:30 three of the survivors "go down" from the fire they started!
I really hope they've done some work on that m79. There's no weapon sway when the player is running, hardly any kickback when firing, and the skin looks far too clean and bright.
@ ttam01 : Expect your medal to arrive packaged and delivered within 6 to 8 weeks!! You may also like to know that the edited version of L4D2 comes complete with one of those pesky "Lombardi 4 Life" T-shirts that are all the rage now! Developed by someone from our very own Gamespot!!
The reference ingame footage is kinda fail. :P Walking right past the witch with flashlight? Whole team burnt down?
