How do i get the green house crest in Magic is Might?

Okay, so I keep running into the same problem here. At the end of the level the dementors are chasing you down the hall and after two turns the crest is there on the left behind a gold suit of armor, but when I try to go grab it the dementors catch me and freeze then when I reappear I am past the point I need to be. Any suggestions?

I had so much trouble with this piece. What a headache.

Since you said it's to the left of the statue, I take it you are actually going around the front of the statue to the left side, and then trying to go behind it from there? Don't do that. Go immediately behind the statue once you enter the room it's in. DO NOT CROSS IN FRONT OF IT. It might take a few tries, but that's the only way I got it to work.
