Lego still can't resolve glitches
- Nov 14, 2012 2:16 pm GMT
What is the deal with Lego and their quality control? I bough thtis game for my son's birthday. Very first fight, with Sauron on the prologue, my son can['t figure it out. I can't figure it out. Finally, I am forced, in the very first scene, to consult a walkthrough.
Absolutely inexcusable.
Turns out that we are supposed to attack Sauron's giant mace. Trouble is, the mace is stuck in a place that we can't attack it. Brillaint. Absolutely brilliant. How could this get past quality control?
If this happened the very first time we played it, it must have happened to someone at the quality control phase. What happened? They just didn't care? They couldn't be bothered?
How many more absolutely careless glitches are going to be in this game?

Started playing this game today, and already had to restart three times because of glitches. They need to get better at this. As far as I know, they never fixed the Harry Potter problems, so I've never been able to finish it.

This happened to me, too. In the Sauron fight, he got his mace stuck in the indestructible (at this point in the game, at least) boulder at the back of the battlefield, and my characters couldn't touch it to trigger the next stage of the fight. There's nothing to do but quit the game and start it over. After 5 minutes.
It's also frozen on me a couple times, forcing me to turn off and then re-start the PS3. And in the "Taming Gollum" level, Gandalf got stuck under a tree I was trying to cut down, suddenly was unable to walk out, swing his sword, or jump. Again, had to quit and re-start.
I wish I could say "I'm never buying another Traveler's Tales game again, because of the inexcusable glitches!" But the licenses they get are just too irresistible... it's definitely frustrating!

Just got the game yesterday and already it has frozen three times and have to restart the console each time. The split screen also gets stuck ie. we changed it from dynamic to fixed. Hated it, tried to change it back but it wouldn't go back. Thinking it would upon entering a new area, it changed for about 3 seconds then went back to fixed even though it says it is on dynamic.
Also don't know if this is a glitch but it is annoying. Used statue to travel to a previous area. Second person got left in other area we left. Doesn't make much sense to leave your part behind when you don't want to be there. They dropped out of game and reentered and was with me.

Yep, shortly after I last posted, I entered an area where Legolas had to shoot targets to trigger an event, but his reticle wouldn't show up on screen. I switched from bow to daggers and back to bow, but still nothing. He would shoot random arrows at ground level, but not up at the targets above him. Had to quit and re-start. Argh...
