I must say Limbo lived up to its hype for the most part. You will realize after your first few minutes of playing that this isnt a typical platformer. Think back more to the Out of This World, Oddworld Abes Odyssey, and Heart of Darkness games of yesteryear and Limbo would fit right in.

The setting is mysterious yet serene and has a dark beauty to it. You wont get much of anything in the way of story but its supposed to be that way. You get a vague idea of whats going on, and let your imagination fill in the rest.

The controls are spot on and its one of those games where you need to often quickly find a solution or suffer numerous brutal deaths. This is ok though because you are respawned nearby to try again.

Limbo packs quite a punch for a platformer. But the playtime is relatively brief. Thats really the only negative point I can think of. Give this game a play. Its worth every penny.
