Check out a walkthrough video for Lost Planet 3, which premiered at New York Comic-Con 2012.
We are at the very end of this cycle but i ask myself what new ip could the nextgen bring? i guess we will have to see
These genre blenders are horrible.
Make a spooky horror game an action game aka Daed Space 3.
Make a survival horror game an action game aka Res Evil 6.
And finally this Lost planet 3 looks like Dead Space 3 knok-off with Res 6's QTEs. Damn.
QTE really suck don't they?
I mean, it'd be more engaging if they could be sort of "hidden" (no prompt) in cutscenes leading to different routes.
Honestly, I only clicked on this video because the guy in the picture next to the link looked like AC:Rev Ezio.
I feel bad now. :I
ha! i gave up on them since they screwed lost planet 2 and resident evil 5 and beyond... crapcom
Pass. This looks worse than previous iterations. Not interested until it reaches $19.99 which it will 4 months after its release. This is going to be a major flop
Guys, are you entirely sure this is not related with Dead Space 3 in any way? I know it sounds odd, but am I the only one noticing the crossover kinda gameplay and setting?
@xsonicchaos It is starting to look more like dead space then Lost planet, the very first lost planet was really good its a shame 2 turned out like it did
Look, hate to sound like I'm slamming the game because I loved Lost Planet 1/2, but tbh, if they hadn't of told me that this was a walk-through for Lost Planet I wouldn't of had a clue what it was for. And like Ghost said, it looks as though LP3 has sold out to the GOW clone, which is sad, because I liked how the first two games played, it's what made it unique.
@Jeebes007 It seems more like dead space as well now especially with all the QTE in close encounters, I'm hoping the story and characters will enough to over shadow it clone like ways, and he rig seems to be somewhat original, but I will miss how you got knocked about in Lost planet 1 and all the crazy Rigs you get, apparently this mechanic rig is the only one you get to ride around in.
@JJB03 I completely agree, I was going to mention it's similarities to DS3 but that could go both ways I guess :L Getting knocked around was one of the best thing about LP in my opinion, there is just something so appealing about copping a rocket launcher into the chest causing you to do multiple back flips, and face planting the ground and then getting back up again like nothing happened. Good times :D
The protagonist has a look of a total buffoon. You know, like the ones who get killed off in every game.
Capcom just save yourself the embarrassment and release ex troopers over here instead this. We have enough Gears of War clones on the market.
not bad, but using the Robot is bad.. first is the view, why is it in 3rd Person its better original 3rd person -_- I love to play Lost planet because of its Mount Mecha
Horrible voice acting and even the mix is off. Movement seems very slow. I see nothing new here. But the boss fight was interesting. After the horror of LP2 I fail to see why they are even making another. Guess we'll see if they can finally do something half way decent.
I am not interested unless the game's boss fights have more depth than "shoot at the obvious glowing part of the monster!" + quick time events. What else is supposed to compel me in this typical looking third person shooter if not the boss fights?
Also, Nicolas Cage.
