Slice and dice this MadWorld video review with Kevin VanOrd.
While many games define their violence by the sheer amount of blood, MADWORLD makes it about that and the different ways of slicing and dicing people up. It's alright... but I HATE the gansta rap music. HATE IT.
Sup Wii hypocrites? So you guys spend years b1tching about the total lack of hardcore games on ur system, yet when Madworld comes along, you don't buy the damn game. Yeah, makes Wii gamers look real smart.
This game is arguably the most violent of this console generation, up there with the likes of No More Heroes, God of War 3, Gears of War 2, Ninja Gaiden 2, and Prototype. Seriously, that is a lot of blood.
I have picked this game up for 8 Euros this weekend and must say: these 8 Euros are very well spent. The graphics are just awesome and the gameplay is brutal and fun. Camera issues? Just practice! The controls work really well. Great game.
Eh, doesn't look that interesting. As Kevin says, the graphics wear out your eyes quite quick, and I'm not much for gratuitous violence. It's weird people are complaining about the score, the game has flaws, and is way too short, but 7,5 isn't the end of the world. Ultimately, the game just had more potential.
This game is just excellent! I enjoyed it so much. My only complain were some camera issues, specially with one of the best bosses. I hope we'll have a sequel or more in this style soon
This game could have been great, possibly the greatest title on the Wii for hardcore gamers. If they had gone with a sandbox style action RPG instead of platform I belive this could have been incredible. The game takes place in Varrigan City, an entire island, and the fact that you are restricted to levels instead of being able to free roam the city is a major let down. The black and white imagery is cool, but it becomes very difficult to make things out when the violence gets intense. Overall a fun game, original and hysterical, but like I said, could have been better.
Certainly deserves more then 7.5! Only for its originality it deserves an 8 at least. 1 bad thing; the pause button is so badly located you always push it in the heat of battle....makes me nuts!
hehe, funny thing. Wii is about 95 % kiddy games, but it's other 5%, the M-rated wii exclusives, are like the most violent games of all time xD
Color is over rated anyway... I play all my next-gen games on a black and white TV... hard to find one with an HDMI input though!
"Jack looks like a cross between Hellboy and Baird from Gears of War" HA! It's funny 'cause it's true.
Just wait, someday soon some kid will got to school and chop up all his friends & teachers w/ a chainsaw & this game will get the blame 4 it. Its a headline waiting to happen
This game would have deserved a point or two more if it was longer, but I was able to finish it on the default difficulty in three hours and fifteen minutes. Definitely rent first.
Finally something good for the Wii. I find it funny that the Wii is considered a family console yet it has a game that puts the gore and violence in Gears to shame.
