- The Bottom Line:
- "Waste of time"
Maplestory is a 2D free MMORPG, that can be played by anyone on any computer.
The graphics in the game is 2D, but not bad. It's got bright backgrounds, clean textures and good animations. It holds the standard of 2D games, and it doesn't have a high system requirements.
The gameplay can be fun and exciting in the beginning, but after you've played for 10-15 minutes it gets boring pretty quick. The combat gameplay is very easy because it doesn't require more than six buttons, but that is also why it's too easy for most players. To attack you press ctrl, and you use the movement keys and spacebar to get around. This is what you do the most of the game, and it's repetitive and boring. It is hard to know where you should go, and the game lacks of directions in-and-out of town. Quests are hard to find, and once you find them, they're hard to complete.
The community is large, but there is hard to find any mature players in Maplestory. Most of the players seem to be children, and doesn't talk complete full sentences.
In the end, this game isn't worth your time. Maplestory is too easy and repetitive. There are better free alternatives out there, and far more challenging than this one.

It's a great game, but it is a real grind fest. Worse then any game I have played.
