MapleStory, a free MMORPG created by Wizet and published by Nexon, is one of the countless free MMORPGs available on the internet.
To begin with, MapleStory has five classes you can choose from: Warrior, Magician, Thief, Bowman, or Pirate. Each class has their own unique abilities they gain from leveling up. To level up, you must fight monsters like any RPG, but leveling up in this game takes a lot of time, and can get very repetitive. In fact, once you get to higher levels it can take you WEEKS doing the same task over and over and over again to level up.
Quests are another way to level up, but are honestly nothing to awesome. Most quests are something similar to kill monster x to get item y. There is an exception though, party quests. Party quests are done with a party, hence the name. These are actually pretty fun, and involve a much more fun tasks then regular quests. Guild quests are similar to party quests too, except they involve your guild(clan).
Graphically, MapleStory is average. What stands this out from most other games is that it'd 2D, which is unique. It plays like a platformer, which you don't see often in MMORPGs too.
One of the things that is important in an MMO is the community. MapleStory, being a free online game, will obviously have a horrible community, so don't be surprised if you get called a "noob" often. Occasionally, you will find your helpful and nice player that will give you a hand.
In conclusion, MapleStory is your average MMORPG. Mediocre, with some standing out features.

It's a great game, but it is a real grind fest. Worse then any game I have played.
