Magikruiser (Small Bike) - Set times on 8 different courses
Birdo - Set times on 16 different courses
Toadette - Set times on 32 different courses
Funky Kong - Unlocked 4 Expert Staff Ghosts
Baby Luigi - Unlocked 8 Expert Staff Ghosts
Spear/Torpedo (Large Bike)- Unlocked 12 Expert Staff Ghosts
Sprinter/B Dasher Mk 2 (Medium Kart) - Unlocked 24 Expert Staff Ghosts
Mii Outfit B - Unlocked all 32 Expert Staff Ghosts
im not sure if anyone noticed, but I got the Magikruiser after 4 of them.

Is there any way to unlock the fast ghosts on all tracks using Automatic drift or would I need to use Manual? Also my usual combo is Bowser Jr+Turbo Blooper

Yes, it is possible to unlock all 32 Fast Ghosts using Automatic. Some courses like Rainbow Road, SNES Mario Circuit 3, and SNES Ghost Valley 2 may require you to use a faster kart or bike, but I'm sure it's possible to unlock most of them with the Super Blooper.

Eh, I didn't read the entire topic, but I got a time of 2:57.610 on Bowser's Castle and didn't unlock the expert ghost. Just figured I'd report that.

Finally managed to get a fast enough time on Bowser's Castle.at 2:55.388. So the real unlock time is somewhere in there.
Stupid course took me forever. Maybe I really should try this with an analog stick of some sort instead of playing with the wheel.

Btw gopher, isn't it also possible with the honeycoupe? I believe proper drifts and precise turns can create perfect boosts and create the right amount of speed to overgo the time for a fast ghost.

@pjmcgowan: Sorry. I had a busy week with school, and didn't get around to sending the ghosts. I'll try to remember to do it tomorrow.
@TARGETR101: It is most certainly possible to unlock most (if not all) of the ghosts with the Honey Coup. A skilled racer would likely be able to get good enough times with just about any vehicle in the game. The only exceptions that I can think of off the top of my head that might pose a problem to the "any vehicle challenge" are SNES GV2, Rainbow Road, SNES Mario Circuit 3, and GBA Shy Guy Beach.

Rather good point, because I cant imagine one such as a skilled racer getting on rainbow road and giving a record that qualifies for a fast ghost. It may be possible at least by 1 second off but I doubt it'd be an easy task. Although, I do think it can be possible with the Jetsetter on auto. If by chance all turns are pulled off correctly.

on rainbow road, playing online i got the unlock time on a 100cc race. >.<

I believe that was a silly post of him to make eh gopher? Well I was gonna ask, what is your time trial record for N64Bowsers Castle? And that if below 2:42, that if I may add you? whats the secret to getting a fast time on DS Yoshi Falls?
I have unlocked everyother ghost but I can barely beat the regular ghost's time.
I've been using Peach/Mach Bike/Manual for almost everything [Sometimes Koopa Troopa with Bullet Bike] but I just cannot beat this one...

the secret? what computers will usualy do is use a boost to quickly go through waterfalls. (tip: go to the comp's ghost and press "watch the replay", it shows you exactly what they did so it'll give you stratagy ideas. and i beat that ghost easy with dry bowser on the spear/torpedo (using manual)
and the thread is awesome, thanx to it i now have all charactors unlockable through time trials
