I think we can all agree, its an arcade classic. Even if you don't like it, you can agree, its a classic in the arcades.

- "Instant classic"
Marvel VS Capcom 2, i think we can all agree, its an arcade classic. Even if you don't like it, you can agree, its a classic in the arcades. Now the game has been re-re-released on several game systems, particualrly the Dreamcast. I loved my Dreamcast! And i loved MvC2! The first Marvel VS Capcom was great, but the 2nd one was alot more huge. The character roster is huge, over 50+ characters.
The graphics are colorful and nice, the soundtrack is catchy, yet repetitive after a while. The controls are responisive. And the game itself is rather fun to play, especially with the huge character roster, from the Marvel classic such as Captian America and Spiderman, to the awesome Capcom character such as Megaman and the Street Fighter characters. AmaZing.
Now this game was ported on several game consoles, The Dreamcast, like i said before, is the best port. But it was also ported on the PS2, XBOX, and also online with XBOX Live, and Playstation Network. But the real way to play this is the arcade, and if you can track it down its worth your quarters. Now on the online ports, you can fight online, a great feature, for even more players, and pros to experience the game.
A lot people don't like Marvel VS Capcom because its more button mashing than anything else. Well, this fighter, i think, is more of a offensive fighter, than a defensive fighter, its more about quickly excuting the moves rather than blockin all the time, its a lot more fast-paced than other fighting, and while other fighters like Street Fighter is faced paced, and is alot more defensive. Or fighters like Soul Calibur that are fast-paced, yet offensive and defensive at the same time. So i can kind of see why people don't like it much. But man, is it fun? The game is fun when your playing with a friend at your house, and the online feature on the online ports is really a nice feature.
MvC2 is a great fighter, period!

As much as I hate to say this: Its broken mess of controls turns this game into an incoherant button masher!

The most broken, unbalanced, lazy, and over the top fighter you'll love.
