Dante is such a wonderful character for his variety of attacks like his strong sword.

BROKEN ... I thought it was better but "sigh" ... dead or alife remains the best fighter around.

i wish there is marvel vs snk or snk vs marvel or snk x marvel or marvel x snk hope u they like my request.... ^_^

This needs to be 3d fighting and not 2d...

Fun game but gets old quick

i dont know how can you compare this game to mortal kombat action is quicker in this than in mk combos are insane those are 2 different games.I actually like this bettter than street fighter 4

@rolo125 i am also a ken user and even though there is no ken in this game i still suggest that u buy it if u are even remotely interested in fighting games. Or just wait until UMVC3

In the 90s 2d fighters were gods and we worshipped them all so why is everyone so jaded? I like Street Fighter 4 because it plays different than Mortal Kombat, but also I own MK because its not SF4. I don't even see the big deal with Tekken but my buddies play it and we still have fun. I buy fighting games because I love the genre whether it's blazblue, sf4, MvC 2, K.O.F., Tekken, etc. You can't compare them because they all do things differently which is cool. I don't even play FPS anymore because everyone wants to make Call of Duty Modern Warfare: XYZ. Atleast with most fighters there is a different experience, mechanic or feel. I am sorry about posting this nonsense but I am a Fan of Capcom, NetherRealm/Midway, SNK, Arc System Works, Sega and Namco fighters and I don't favor one over the other they all deserve to be in your collection but its your choice. Quit bashing other franchises because of your loyalty to a brand...sorry these companies just care about your money not your feelings (ex. duke nuke em)! Be thankful companies give us these games when FPS and 3rd person shooters are the big earners now. Remember the Street Fighter creators had to beg Capcom Execs to give all of us SF4 in the first place after how well the HD remix sold. Instead us infighting how about we get something together for Capcom so we can finally see Darkstalkers 3 as well as Sega for an Eternal Champions 3 and Golden Axe the Duel 2(yes I said it)...remember strength in numbers!!!

Picking up SS4 and MK instead of this. This game doesn't look as good as the last one.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Super Street Fighter 4 are awesome, those two are the best fighting games. Mortal Kombat has terrible animation, ugly characters and rubbish design. I played Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat 2 on my Amiga about 18 years ago, I enojoyed them both. But after all those years Street Fighter series is still a blast for me and Mortal Kombat is just pathetic.

I think "Marvel Vs Capcom" and "Street Fighter" are an example of how fighting games shouldn't be in 2011. Mortal Kombat and Soul Calibur 4 is what you want if you like fighting games. These two are true quality games.

@WilDie4Games saying MVC is better then MK is un fair. i'd say.... MVC>MKvDC and SF>MK i like thats a better comparison as i'm comparing Vs. games with each other and stand along games with each other.

I was playing this one last night, and I must say, this is way better than the 2nd game. I think the new controls lend themselves well to the type of action on display. And, what a display! The combos are INSANE! THE COLORS, DUKE.....THE COLORS!!! LOL I LOVE THIS GAME!

nothing has been dumbed down games from the versus series have always had a more compact/simplified control scheme TvC AND Mv2 had a simplified scheme also. this fits well for the teamed based and more fast paced style of game-play.just learn the system and get good.

MvC3 is a somewhat simplified combination of MvC2 & "Tatsunoko vs Capcom." It's still a fun Fighting Game, to be honest.

I'm new to the fighting genre, so which should i get: marvel vs capcom 3, or street fighter 4?

i haven't got this game but from the review i can see that it is awesome!!

this game is just AWESOME!!! on the first day i did 50 hit combo i was like O_O "me able to do that in a fighting game"

This review is just a Blast! After watching this one 3 times (yeah i've got no life, i know xD) I'm finally gonna buy this one.. well.. I was determined from the beginning, cause i'm a die-hard Capcom fan! Dante, Chris and Wesker are mostly the biggest reason, why I buy this one, but i dont need more reasons! and btw: this game is just crazy-awesome xD

@AzatiS And games like Super smash bros etc , takes higher score than this!!... Lol..... this should be 9 easily... would u really compare that to a vs. fighting game like MvC3? Put it against Street Fighter IV (9.0) King Of Fighters 12 (6.0) and BlazeBlue (8.5) and i think the rating is right on the money...

@PhazonJunkie I think SSBB and MvC3 can easily be compared. They're both relatively simple fighters on the surface (hence making them accessible to everyone), but at the same time BOTH are quite deep. Didn't really like this one at first. Seemed a little too "button mashy" for me. However, playing it a bit more at my buddy's place definitely made it grow on me so I had to pick it up! Really fun game! I love crossovers! =) Hulk's respect for Haggar is awesome!! lol! "Mustache man strong!!!"

@AzatiS What SSBB has that MvC3 doesn't is accessibility. The Smash Bros series are designed to be relatively easy to play from the start, where as MvC is meant to be more deep and complex. While Capcom did simplify the fighting engine and added simple mode, MvC3 is still much more deep than Brawl could ever be. I'm not saying that one is better than the other, rather they're are two completely different franchises that really shouldn't be compared to each other...

@madmanjim if you listened cuts to character roster were made to reduce tiering course super skrull is all anyone plays as he is too OP. ill agree with your view on dlc unless it comes in packs of 4 characters and a stage map it will be hard to part me with money. as for it being "simpler" its actually got alot more complexity and been made more accessible

compared to the second this game sucks:( wheres gambit and venom, and why is it more basic than the 1st two, it has less characters than the second:S why ?! oh yeah because they will charge you to get the other characters.... i hate dlc
