The Omega DLC is all about Shepard, or in this case you, helping Aria take back Omega which was taken over by Cerberus. Now let's go over the "Dos and Don'ts" of this DLC. (No MAJOR Spoilers)
Dos:
For Aria-lovers, this DLC enabled you to work alongside Aria for the first-time and only-time ever in the Mass Effect Series. You were able to control her in the power-wheel just as any other squadmember that can be on your team. You also were able to choose her weapons on the weapon bench just like a normal squadmember. It was nice to be able to see Aria in action for the first time in the games for people who were huge fans of Aria and even those who were not so much. Finally, you get to see that powerful biotic side of Aria that wasn't very apparent previously.
This DLC introduces a new character, a female turian to be exact. At times throughout the DLC, she also works as your squadmember. This was the first appearance of a female turian in the game so it was interesting for players who were curious about what the females looked like.
There are two new enemies that you meet in combat in this DLC. One being a Reaper-indoctrinated being, and the other being a Cerberus Mech. It was nice being able to fight new specimens in the DLC especially because there are only three groups of enemies that you fight in all the 40 hours spent in Mass Effect 3.
Also, this DLC revisited some of the side mission aspects of Mass Effect 1. Some may remember the mission on Feros where you were given a priority mission but if you spoke with any of the colonists, you were given smaller "objectives" such as items to look for, special targets, things to activate, etc. The Omega DLC revisits that interaction which may bring you back some old memories of playing Mass Effect 1 as it did for me.
For those fans who read the Mass Effect: Invasion Comics, this DLC can act as the ending or conclusion of that comic series.
Finally, you receive some war assets for your War Terminal from Aria.
Don'ts:
The price of this DLC was $20 (or 1200 Microsoft Points). This DLC barely provides you with enough content. You only receive about anywhere from 3-6 hours of gameplay, one new weapon, and a few new weapon mods. I won't shove my opinion down your throat but you can just judge for yourself on whether this DLC deserves that price.
The new female turian is a wasted character. She could have been an amazing character added into your game but rather she is wasted. I promised no spoilers so I will leave it at that.
You cannot visit Omega. Unlike the Shadowbroker DLC of Mass Effect 2 that gave you the chance to visit Liara on her new ship, this DLC does not give you the opportunity to go to Omega and see the progression or anything.
Aria is still at the Citadel. Yeah...I know what your thinking. After all that Aria's been through to retake Omega from Cerberus, she is sitting on her butt at the Citadel, the place she said disgusted her? Yes...and you can still talk to her and she tells you that Omega is progressing. That's it.
There were glitches. A lot of people had the same glitches that I did: voice echoing that made Aria sound like a goddess or like she was in a cathedral when she was only talking to Shepard who was right in front of her, power-wheel glitches that either took forever to follow your commands or you had to select the power more than once for it to work, and animation glitches that made Aria occasionally twitch or move oddly. Yeah weird.
I mentioned it before but, this DLC was extremely short for what it was expected to be. Bioware made it very clear that this was the biggest DLC for Mass Effect 3 yet. But wait....it was only 3-6 hours which is very close in range to how long it took people to beat the Leviathan DLC. Weird.
Since Bioware and Dark Horse produced the Mass Effect: Invasion Comic Series, this DLC, as mentioned, can act as the conclusion of that series. But wait...what about the people who didn't read those comics? Well let's just say that this DLC feels almost like you just jumped into the middle of a story that already begun but wait...it did already begin in the comics. This DLC makes a heck of a lot more sense if you read the comic series first.
You would think that after Bioware has made the BIGGEST DEAL out of how awesome this DLC was gonna be, that all these things wouldn't happen, right?
Do I recommend this DLC? I would only play this DLC if you are either a HUGE fan of Aria OR you loved the story behind the Invasion Comic Series. When I first played this DLC, I was not the biggest fan of Aria and I had never read the Invasion Comics. But once I did gain a bigger picture on Aria's backround and got a grip of her story and read the Invasion Comics, the DLC did make more sense and therefore it was a bit more enjoyable.
Well, thank you for reading and please let me know what you thought on the Omega DLC.

Same great storytelling and a sizeable mission make this DLC worth it.
