Im a bit of a noob, so what are the consensus "best" and "worst" classes/races?

I know that pretty much any of the Vanguards are good, and the Salarian Engineer and Turian Soldier are apparently "good"
But what classes are considered bad? Are there any others that are generally considered amazing classes?
Just curious. Like I said, Im a bit of a noob towards this game and can barely do silver, so Im inquiring.

Drell vanguard sucks, Asari vanguard is not much better. Batarian soldier is fun to play and good. Both geth are really good if built right. Turian soldier is good if u have the right weapons for him. Turian sentinel is pretty good as well with warp and overload.
But overall if youhave the right mods and equipment you can make any class deadly.

Krogan soldier is better than turian soldier, and drell vanguard is better than asari vanguard.

I would say your opinion is pretty solid except you have the turian behind the bat sentinel and that makes no sense.

Is the Batarian sentinal really that bad? I'm (desperately) trying to unlock one for quite a while.
Of all the classes I tried I liked the Drell adept the most, but I know there are classes that are better then him.

TC: Vanguards are actually a pretty polarizing class, and not universally revered, although they are more so on lower difficulties. Not to start a pro/anti Vanguard war; I've played many a successful gold match with them as teammates. Just letting you know they're not universally considered top-tier.
My personal votes for highest are Salarian or Geth infiltrator, Salarian engineer, Asari adept. I don't play much with the other classes.

I love the drellguard, he's mobile and his skills tie together well. He's got a learning curve, though, so most of the community dosen't like him.

He just doesn't have anything Spectacular about him. People who like The net need to go back to playin Asari adept. Shockwave is his next power and I think we know how amazing that can be lol. He does make up for it with heavy melee, but the bat soldier has the same melee and ballistic blades which is one of the top 4 best powers in the online IMHO.

Best classes- Salarian/Geth Infiltrator. Really a toss-up here depending on playstyle.
Worst class- Tough call. Probably the Male Quarian Engineer. In vanilla, I would say the Drell Vanguard.
