Worth it?

Hi. I wanted to find out whether Mass Effect 3 has some of the RPG elements in terms of immersive atmosphere, which was always one of my favorite aspects of ME, more so in 2.

Specifically, I'm referring to: planet/city depth in detail and in travel/exploration, normandy detail and customization, dinky details like bartenders/drinking/buying decor/etc. Also specifically, are there more or fewer planets/cities you can travel to in ME3, and, for example by way of comparison, is the Citadel more or less accessible than in ME2? Thanks very much!

Also, for the record, when I say "worth it?" in the title I mean is it worth spending my money, as a broke dude. For me, without the atmospheric immersion, maybe even without MORE immersion than in the previous two, it would not be worth it, because the infamously terrible ending and the combat updates don't sound like enough for me to throw down.

In terms of story ME3 is as good as and better at some points than the previous two (Ending not included). As for exploration; it is extremely limited in this one, where in ME1 you were able to go down onto planets, and ME2 you could do detailed scans from orbit, in ME3 you do very little outside of the main story missions.
There is only one place you can enter and exit as you please in this game (The citadel), the rest of the planets you are only aloud to visit until the missions on them are complete.
The Citadel is larger than ME2 but is harder to navigate. There are now 6 medium sized areas you can access in it through the elevator that have random (quest giving) people and team members spread through out them. Things move around so much you need to refer to your map quite often.
Over all I will say that ME3 is worth it if you enjoyed the stories of ME 1&2 however right now (predlc) there is no closure in the ending and odds are it would leave you going "Wtf?".

Mass Effect is my favorite trilogy of all time so it's certainly worth it.
and I was personally satisfied with the ending to ME3, it could of been much better, but I didn't rage about it like everybody else. The ending is fairly deep and complicated

The game is great. People only rage about the endings because they're all a little inconclusive.
