Game of the Year!

Difficulty:
Just Right
Time Spent:
20 to 40 Hours
The Bottom Line:
"Masterpiece"
Although many players were quite disappointed with the concluding ten minutes of this game, the game was a very excellent ending to Shepard's story in my book. So what can you REALLY expect when playing this game?
The Good:
This game has a very emotional, heart-jerking, personal experience. Similar to it's two predecessors, it has a network of "character developing" in which everyone's Shepard is different whether in looks, decisions, conversation choices, love interests, etc. This asset makes Mass Effect a very "moldable" game in a way meaning that it can be played in any way the player desires; there is no "right" or "wrong" way to play the game. This makes the game become personal where at times you may actually feel guilty or happy about making a particular decision or maybe even a simple conversation choice. You create Shepard. You become Shepard.
This game also has a well developed gameplay setup. Mass Effect has never been all about the gameplay or the combat scenarios like a First-Person Shooter typically is. Mass Effect is all about good story and decision-making; thus why it is categorized as a RPG. But even though that is true, Bioware did not neglect the advancement process of the gameplay. While playing through the whole series, you can definitely see the evolution of the gameplay in combat.
This game also is the first of the Mass Effect series to be equipped with an online multiplayer ability. Of course, with there being "only one" Shepard, the story campaign is not multiplayer but the online multiplayer is enjoyable and gives you the ability to be a nonhuman character which is something that many Mass Effect fans had been asking for.
All of your decisions from the past games from your choices made about the Rachni Queen (Mass Effect 1) or with the geth heretics (Mass Effect 2) all effect the outcome of your Mass Effect 3 experience one way or another. Seeing how your story plays out is very interesting to see. Everyone that I know who played Mass Effect 3 had a completely different outcome in their experience.
This game ends the story. One thing that I definitely always want to know when I start watching or playing a new game/movie/tv show/etc, is..."how is this all going to end?" Many others also felt the same way. Well, finally you get to know what awaits for your Shepard! I will not spoil anything further.
The Bad:
There were a few glitches and bugs here and there throughout the game. I have played Mass Effect 3 about five times all the way through and I cannot recall coming across any major bugs and glitches that completely screw up your game but there are minors every once and a while.
There are some amazing DLCs that come with this game. Unfortunately, they were not part of the game from the beginning but I always remind myself that Bioware has to make their profits somehow, right?

Well, that is my review. hope this review helps you in any way possible. Thank you for reading and please let me know how your Mass Effect 3 experience was! :)
