Will we see Tali's face? Will we visit London? Is Kasumi back in the game? We put your burning Mass Effect 3 questions to BioWare's Mike Gamble.
I'm replaying ME2 right now, for the 7th time...
worthless. homeboy cant say anything, so why even give an interview.
@d-olsvik "fear the reaper in the form of Volus!" First thing that came to mind when I read that was something that looks like a morbidly obese Jawa.
@kvan33, I also stayed loyal to ashley, but I saved my ME2 game right before the last mission and left relationships to everyone open, so if ash is a ***** to me in 3 like the mission in 2 when you saw her, I'll simply re-load my game on 2 and get with someone whose easy like miranda and rub it in ashley's face all of 3!! (Shepard: "Ash, stop being a *****")
The portrayal of the Volus in ME 2 was culturally biased, even bordering on racist - scoundrels, charlatans, greedy mongers with overgrown egos compensating for lack of stature. Bring back the respect the Volus deserve. For there may come a day of reckoning - fear the reaper in the form of Volus!
To summarize, play the game and don't ask dumb questions! "GREAT" interview, it's clear now that we don't know anything about ME3 (anyway I'll play it, sure it's gonna be awesome)
No STEAM but it will be on COAL...
Will this game be available on Steam?
I liked the original ME3 trailer, reminded me of Doctor Who series finales... Of course, the Doctor could defeat the entire reaper race single handedly, in a galactic time period of forty five minuits and not fire one single bullet... Whilst wearing a fez!
Most important question: I know that we won't see a Steam release on launch, but will it go on Steam eventually, or are EA still a bunch of pricks?
All I know is that I stayed true to Ashely in ME2, and it better pay off in ME3! ....ok I really didn't. But none of those other girls counted. I didn't save my game!
if tali's face is revealed, make it nice, I didnt went to bed with her just so i can become disappointed few years later
EA should really give this IP to other well renowned action game developers.
Brought back a lot of the rpg systems did you ?from what i can see you still have an ammunition meter .......
You will show us Tali's face alright and YOU WILL make her beautiful (in the most objective way possible ofc) PERIOD!
I am SO excited. I can't wait for the release. Looking forward to the exploration and customization options they appear to be offering.
Maybe EA should let this IP developed by crytek or epic games as it's action game bioware is far from accustomed to. hh
im not even going to watch or read this..the whole idea of playing a game is to FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF !!!!!
I want Zaeed back on my squad. "One time my buddies and I got hungry so we went out for burgers. I was the only one who came back alive".
Shepard: hey, remember that one time when I said that the Reapers were coming and that we needed to join forces to fight them or else all life in our galaxy would cease to exist? yea...
The only question I have is the new Mass Effect Move compatible like the game is on the xbox 360 with the kinect?
@damodar_thade - Actually, that brings up a good point. I hope Bioware's idea of "deeper RPG elements" isn't just more colors to paint your armor with. Character development has always been pretty weak in the ME series as compared to your standard RPG. They actually took a step backwards in ME2 with the tiny number of guns. I really hope they fix that in a meaningful way, not just cosmetic.
Two questions I would've wanted to ask: 1. Are we going to be able to import a savegame AND use a different class than the savegame's class, like we were able to do as we started ME2? And 2. Are we gonna have an anti-alias option in the PC graphics options to have some sort of AA that wasn't in ME2? =)
Will we be forced to use origin if we buy the PC version?
we can paint our armour... deep RPG element right there.
Personally (and I know this sounds strange) I'm hoping my Shepard will die at the end of this game, in some huge sacrifice similar to Kaiden/Ashley on Virmire in ME1. I just have a vision of her, having been mortally wounded, sitting with Garrus (who refused to leave, even after being ordered to) trapped in a Reaper with a huge bomb and no hope of escape. An "If we're going to die then we're gonna take you with us!" moment. It would just make the ending that so much more final (not to mention bada** in it's own way).
The whole ME vs ME2 thing was an even trade for me...although I did enjoy the depth of ME (rpg elements, somewhat better drama points/plot twists), ME2 offered supirior gameplay and went fairly deep into each character. I feel they have made a great attempt to make ME3 a hybrid of both...which to me is great.
I wonder if they will leave an out for the Reapers to add them to future games....i mean does beating the Reapers mean they are now extinct or did a few run? Not to mention all the history and possibilities of this IP. I think though Shep's story is coming to an end...the ME universe better not.
love bioware games they are simply genius. :)
@ shantd Hahahahahahahahahahahahah
i just cant wait anymore for the ME3 to come out. Been playing the other 2 to the death now. But only around month left...i survive i guess lol. I always loved ME for the story, there was some up and downs in the game but mainly i loved it because of the story. Cant wait to kick reapers asses..or at least try to :-)
Don't get your hopes up about Tali, folks. I hope I'm wrong, but I bet she's a butter face. I'm thinking a cross between predator and romulan. We all want to see what's underneath that mask...but don't be surprised if, at the moment she takes it off, Shepard demands she puts it back on.
@businessninja Yeah i didnt think about that. Thanks.
does anyone know if their bringing back the free roaming of dozens and dozens of planets like in the 1st? I see their bringing the customization back like in the 1st, but free roaming and exploring so many planets in the mako was my fav part of the 1st, it gave it way more re-play value and way more side missions (mainly from UNC) I loved the 2nd of course, but the hammerhead missions were nothing like the mako in the 1st and I'd give up scanning planets for landing on them, there was way less assignments overall in the 2nd, I just hope they bring back the free-roaming of so many planets like in the 1st game back
I've only played ME2 (still playing and about to conquer it). Not once have I tried to "date" anyone. That part of the game I really don't care about. The rest of it is a blast though, woo! Now that I have my new mouse controller for the 360 I can't wait to play the 3rd one! Can't wait to play any of the other great shooters on the 360 that I've missed because I play like crap with analog sticks.
Awesome :)
1 F... ing month Damn can't wait deffinetly want to kick some reapers a... :D
@DaRkNe5s second game was better if you ask me :D
Oh..guys I can't wait...it is awesome
I'm glad I will be able to walk around the Citadel again. Missed that in ME2!
haha nice one guys
Hey, sorry everyone about the Wrex/Grunt footage mix up. That was a major DERP on my part. All should be all present and correct now.
BTW...Tali better by freaking hot
personally i liked ME2 more than ME1, which was hard to do seeing as how ME1 was in my top 5 of all time.
i just hope it recover the greatness of ME1

Argg... 2 of my squad members are dead in ME2 ... Time to bring them back so that they can contibute in ME3..
@AjenoMerveilles what's your specs?
less squad characters then ME2... thats... not what i expected :-/
Mass Effect 2 worked peachy on my laptop, but I'm wondering and wondering if ME3 will work as peachy on the same laptop. For my shame, I haven't upgraded and even wandered to the dark side of PS3 gaming recently. I need my fears put to a nice warm bed as I have 8 saves from ME1 and ME2 awaiting a conclusion. Any help?
