What can I say? It's the best game I ever played.
The storyline is probably the best thing about the game. It makes you feel proper emotion when something big happens and contains huge twists. The ending is completely action-packed and will leave you wanting more.
The dialogues are similar to small movies. Some of the scenes,particularly near the end, actually make you feel "shocked and awed." There are also some brilliant lines that characters say.
The combat is good, but not brilliant. Graphics are quite good.
The amount of info made up on the species and other interesting things in Mass Effect is amazing. As you play through the game, you collect info for your encyclopedia. This info might seem dull, but it really helps you understand what's happening and why. The future that is shown here, in Mass Effect is very believable.

Let's just say BioWare made a really deep and fantastic RPG.

The choices you make in Mass Effect will carry on to Mass Effect 2 and then the choices from those two will go on to Mass Effect 3. The Mass Effect Trilogy is the first set of games to do this.
