What is Old School Mode?

Old school = school of hard knocks. Or in this case, Its a hard difficulty level where you can't use cover system. Apparently I can't use the word 's**t' here. You see, this site is new school.

In the difficulty description it says that it's hardcore difficulty and vendetta can't be used. No mehtioning of not being able to use cover.
