How much ballistic protection does the bomb suit provide?

I just wanted to find out if anyone knows if the damage you can take to the chest/back is comparable to the heavy armour - when wearing the bomb suit. It seems extremely heavy for armour that only protects against explosives.

I was wondering this myself. The light armor is 15% reduction to the front torso, the medium is 25% to the front and 10% to the back, the heavy is 33% to the front and 25% to the back. It seems like the Bomb suit reduces explosive damage by 50%. I know you can loot booty trapped corpses and only take half damage. I have taken a direct hit with an RPG without dying, so it may be more than 50%. As for ballistic, I have no idea if you want to test it out with the in a private match or something feel free to add me and we will figure it out.

I tested this yesterday in a private match with my friend. It doesn't do anything. It's 50% explosive resistance, but 0% ballistic.

I don't know about anybody else but lol the bomb suit put a dent in rpg/law usage... Got a bomb suit loadout just ready to pull out in an instant but rare for me now.
