If it plays as good as it looks in trailers and video previews it has a good chance. But than again it has a lot of competition (me3 fc3 and ac3). If it can have a better shooting than far cry better story than mass effect and better mp than AC it will probably win in my book.

Max Payne 3 and Assassin Creed 3 are my most anticipated game this year and also the LITTLE bIG pLANET RACING GAME. I don't give a darn about who'll get the Goty.

Max Payne 3, Dishonored, and Anarchy Reigns are my most anticipated titles this year. Of those, I think only MP 3 even has a shot at GOTY (it's really just a popularity contest, after all), and I hope it wins.

in particular , plus maybe bringing back the classics ? ..
I can't think of any other "shooter" game with such detailed
effects as this has put accross ...

can't really say until you've played it, the gameplay videos so far look great, but just watching it and playing it for yourself are two completely different things, can't say it's GOTY material until it's been played and experienced for my/yourself.

Its between ME3 ( I know I know..but until the final 5 minutes the game was a masterpiece..and alot of people can look past that )..and this game has some other challenges. Assassins Creed 3...The Witcher 2...Bioshock...FarCry 3...Borderlands 2...
I will be a realist here..and say that unless this game is glitch free and 20+ hours long..it wont win.

I don't doubt that this game will be the best, most complete and detailed game, but people would rather pay for DLC to fix ME3s ending (thats why it was so bad in the first place) or play the 14th Assassins Creed game to come out on the same exact engine.
