so i originally beat the whole game on normal except the final area with captain grenade launcher. died to many times and dropped the difficulty down to easy. now, that stopped me from unlocking the option of changing outfits. can i just go back and beat the last chapter again, on medium fot it to unlock? thanks.

Nope, you gotta beat the whole game on medium in order for it to count.

How is it a load of horse s***? Every game does it and it's pretty much the standard thing for something that requires beating the game on a set difficulty to unlock, when they say you have to beat it on Medium/Hard/Extreme, they mean it.
Don't want to go through on that difficulty? Well then I guess you don't want the rewards that badly.

but i did go through the entire game on medium, minus the last checkpoint. i wouldnt even mind going through the whole last lvl, but to do the whole game again on Normal for an unlock cuz of this seems silly. its not 1992, its 2013 and games are made more intelligently now... at least sometimes. like i beat dead space 2 the other day on zealot difficulty and it didnt give me a trophy for it. im not even sure why. the only thing i can think of is i was going through the options for whatever and maybe i accidentally hit left or right on the difficulty and then immediately put it back. i never even left the options menu with it on anything other than zealot and THAT took away my trophy!?! my point is, stop sticking up for bad design, game developers arent reading your posts saying "hey, this dude agrees with us, hes cool!".

Well that's your problem, when it says the reward is for playing the game set at one difficulty, they mean it, as in, that difficulty, no other, no switching between half way through, and no "I beat the whole game except for the last chapter!" excuse.
Lol bad design, how can it be bad design when this is the standard thing for every single game that has difficulty level unlocks? Literally every game that has something unlocked from a set difficulty does this, they don't allow you to lower the difficulty half way through, then just beat the last part of the game and get your reward.
Bad design would be the opposite, giving you the reward just for beating the last chapter even though that's the only chapter you play on that difficulty.
You do have a point though, games are being made more intelligently, it's too bad the people actually playing them haven't improved at all.

at what point did i say i should get the reward for lowering the difficulty on the last checkpoint?? i said i was willing to go back and do the whole last lvl again just so every chapter at that point would have me beating it on medium. JC read the full post.

You use diff outfits in arcade mode. You can unlock outfits for multiplayer if you beat arcade and new york minute in the time or score they list.

Well then, the game very clearly recognized that you're whining like a child and decided that you don't deserve a reward.

Well I'm sorry that the world doesn't work the way you want it, where you're just handed every single thing without any effort.

I like how because it didn't work for you, that means it didn't work for anyone else. I(& many others) unlocked it first try. Next time, try harder instead of dropping the difficulty & going easy mode. You'd have had it unlocked the first time & saved yourself the aggravation.

I know the pieces fit cos I watched them fall away....
