Mate this game absolutely ROCKS! Personaly I find this to be Rockstar's best game ever made! I am into all of their games & even tho gta's are also awesome, Max Payne has always been a complete different style & feel of game in comparison other Rockstar games.
Gameplay: I think the gameplay is perfect! Movement is very smooth & easy to have full control of at all times, very manuvarable while either being prone on the ground, shopoting from cover or run n gun/slo mo shootdiving is all wicked! & as always, Bullet time is what really makes the game complete! Enemy Ai is definitelty the best up to date that I've played. Enemis will take lifelike cover, even try to flank you out from behind cover & the realistic expressions from enemies when they are shot/killed is so lifelike that its truly amazing! The controls are easy & the vibe is strong, specifically with semi auto handguns which I found to be outstanding! The ability to shoot for up to a several seconds at an enemy during a cutscene is awesome even tho its actually a rip from the "precision aim" in Stranglehold, none the less it is very awesome & it does'nt have to be earned unlike what I just mentioned. The sound effects are also amazing & very capturing to the ears! Very unique soundtrack!
Graphics: I found the graphics at 1360x768 to be very nice! The effetcs that are put into them/the frequent blurs & horizintal lines across the screen were at 1st annoying for mer anyway but after a few chapters I now really love it & it helps to capture the Noire perfectly! Probably not the best overall facial graphics but still more than good enough! The visual effects also briefly appear each time Max has a painkiller & overall I thought that made it even more stylish! However I found the bullet time effetcs to be a bit too muh for me anyway, so I'm very glad that they are able to be on or off. The overall color blends are done with a lot of style & a GR8 technique!
Story: The story is extremely realistic & captures a pure & natural sense of Noire action thriller from the very start all the way to the end! Basically you're protecting a rich family who eventually are all captured and killed. Enough said dont wanna spoil it. Overall I feel that even tho this game is much more updated than the 1st 2, the Noire & the gameplay is still captured perfectly, still in its original feel in an updated/awesome way!
Overall: It is an absolute kickass game & anyone who liked the originals will definitely LOVE Max Payne 3! I give it a 9.5 even tho I would have changed only a couple small things, its an absolte BLAST of a game from start to end & gets even better as each chapter progresses & also this is a double disc game so very nicely, its quite a long game in comparisson to the length of an average 3rd person shooter. Idk what multiplayer is like tho/I dont have xbl. Have fun, MP3 is a KNOCKOUT!

Max Payne 3 has some issues, but it's worth playing if you can overlook them. (singleplayer review only)
