- The Bottom Line:
- "Mixed reactions"
(I'm up to chapter six.) You'll need a fast, fast video card for sure. A superb demonstration of extreme programming - it's so close to film quality. Story-line and scenes do have to be set but the designers spent too long in demonstrating their code-writing skills. Rather too much chat but the voice acting is good and there's some nice dry wit. Words appearing in capitals a waste of disc space. Action, when it starts is good with some fine fighting and slo-mo, you can hide and dive out of the way which helps survival. Beware of enemy pincer movement! If you only like open-world games then you might not be keen as it's linear. No way is it rubbish but neither is it near-perfect. The environment is well detailed and certainly creates a worthy atmosphere. My credentials? - 30 years of gaming!
