I would have really enjoyed it much more if it was called anything but Max Payne! Max Payne had realistic graphics, noire theme and most of all it had decent story! I loved MP1, really like MP2 but don't think MP3 deserves the title.

Graphics are GTAish; it means they are cartoon like in some aspects!
Voice acting is great & is the only familiar factor!
I really liked multiplayer though, that's why I say they had to choose a different title!
But the most annoying aspect of the game was the story:

Story has several holes in it! One minute your hard-ass friend can take opponent's gun with bare-hand & a couple of minutes later he runs screaming like a fool asking for protection from you; eventually letting three gunmen escape with 3 million dollars!!!
Or why Max has to escape Jersey? Because of Punchinelos? Gimme a break!
Or you see Max entering a hut where hostages are being held just to surrender his weapon and watch the only reason he is there get shot in the head!
Single player game is also hard and may ruin the experience for noobs!

Overall, I think what Max Payne 3 really needed was Remedy and Sam Lake, MP3 might be a good shooter with decent multiplayer experience but lacks the story & characters! The minute MP3 starts you realize it's not Max anymore, just a blabbering old drunk!
