Max Payne 3 is the third installment from Rockstar games, its settings is in Sao Paulo Brazil a couple of years after Max Payne 2. The game starts at a party where Max is working as private security for Rodrigo and Fabiana Branco. The main story in the game is that there are some people who are trying to kill/kidnap Rodrigo and Fabiana... throughout the game Max finds out more about the Branco family and the gangs in Sao Paulo and walks right into their fights. His friend Raul Passos usually helps him and he's the one who suggested that Max comes to Sao Paulo in the first place. I don't want to talk about the story plot in details so you could enjoy the game; I'm going to talk about some points concerning the game itself.
On playing Max Payne 3 you should now that it won't be the same as 1 and 2, the dark foggy city and the "film noire" effect isn't there anymore and the "comic-like" story isn't there (the comics they used to show between chapters to tell us what happened) unfortunately these 2 features used to give us that feeling of playing a Max Payne game. That being said we can move on to what this game offers from new game modes and during game techniques.
GAME MODES:
*Story mode: Where Max goes after the people who kidnapped his boss' wife, in the middle of the game there are flash backs about how he and Passos met once more. The game is 14 chapters and some chapters got 2 parts.
*Arcade mode: Is exactly the same story line you play in story mode, but here there are new challenges for you
-Score attack: You try to score highest score possible, scoring varies according to type of shot, where you shot it, whether you got shot or not...etc.
-New york minute: You try to finish the whole level in the shortest time possible.
*Multiplayer: Quite an interesting add to the game I think, you fight along with other people in different game modes. Choosing between different fire modes, weapons and arenas (didn't write this part in details as there is many game modes)
During arcade mode and multiplayer you gain XP points and level up, and on leveling up you can access new costumes and weapons. (Weapons upgrade on using them not on leveling up)
NEW GAME FEATURES:
*Taking cover: In my opinion this feature makes Max Payne 3 fighting experience very different than the other 2 Max Payne games. It allows you to stand behind a door a box or whatever and then lean forward to shot people and you can blindly shoot too!
*Clues and golden guns: During any game mode (except multiplayer of course) you can find hidden clues that make things clear for you during the game, and I think nothing will happen if you don't collect any clue but on collecting all of them there's a trophy. Same for golden guns you collect their parts during certain chapters and on collecting all parts of a specific gun any time you'll hold that gun it will turn gold and of course on collecting them all there's a trophy.
^^My review might be not elaborated (and maybe I forgot to say something concerning the game), but as I said I just wanted to give you a quick idea about the game and leave you enjoy playing it. So to say the final call: Max Payne 3 may not have some properties that we loved in its prequels but no one can say that this isn't a hell of a game! I loved playing it and hope you all love it too :)

Good story with some twists, however, very repetitive gameplay.
