Max Payne 3 User Review

- The Bottom Line:
- "Overrated"
The most important part - gun-play - is as great as in 2nd instalment of the series. Graphics - top notch. Story - I donīt care. The problem is that the game will let you play itself only around 50% of the time. The remaining 50% is spent on cut-scenes. Most of them are totally unnecessary and annoying. Especially first half of the game makes you feel like you are in some kind of interactive movie, not in kick-ass shooter. I was very close to uninstalling the game at that point. The second problem I had was that the cut-scenes often threw you into tough situations and made Max do completely stupid things. Example: after gunning down half of the favela, Max cant handle some 3 bad guys in a house and lets them shoot hostage. 9.0 for this game in gamespot review feels way too overrated from my point of view.

Totally boring and can't tolerate the constant movie? footage. Avoid at all costs.

A great variety of cheesy cut scenes obscuring what could have been a good game.
