$60 for 3 hr Single player again?

I got burned last time. It was good but extremely short. I finished MoH in about 4.5 hours. Not even 5 hours and I paid $60 for it. Never again.

Will this game be the same ?

For me, SP > 12-14 hr means I pay $50 for it (or $60 for those ridiculous companies charging this)

    SP 9-12hrs = $40 max.

    SP 6-9 hrs = $30 max.

    SP < 6hrs = $20 max.-or-  rent from friend/gamefly/Blockbuster etc.

I don't play MP so this is my standard now. Gotten burnt by this game before and I don't want to anymore.

Probably. The "ripped from the headlines" approach that they appear to be taking says to me "we can't be bothered to come up with our own narrative, so we're just going to use headlines that people are familiar with in order to disguise "lack of creativity" as "giving the game a real world feel."

Oh im sorry you said 3 hours when it was actually 5 hours? I can finish any Call of Duty Game after 4 in about 2.5 hours. Not to mention the terrible story.

I mean afterall medal of Honor did have some credibility on its story after all it was based off a real mission by real special forces and elite infantry.

The game storyline was written by two real Special Forces soldier, so unless you can get your fact straight go shove it up your ass.

Like Call of Duty, this game is judged by its multiplayer.  If all you play is single then I pity you.  Heck, why even bother with the single player aspect in games like this.  Just give me a disk full of multiplayer content.  Maybe a short traininig mission so I can get use to the controls.

The reason is because many people prefer playing the single player and don't really care for the multiplayer. Different people like different things. This is why many games have multiple difficulty settings for example. You need not pity the people who like different things then you.

Yeah i am also one of those people that dont care about multiplayer. Medal of honor frontline did just fine without the MP. If you have noticed FPS games that have a long campaign dont even have Multiplayer and I much prefer a 30 hour campaign over a couple of MP maps.

I don't see why developers even bother with making a single player for military shooters anymore...the story is almost always forgettable and short and no one buys the games for the singleplayer.

If that were true they wouldn't be crying on Gamespot that they want a lot more people to play the multiplayer portion of their games. They seriously have an article on here dedicated to crying about not enough people play the mp portion of their games. lmao So, you couldn't possibly be more wrong, directly from the developers mouth.

Well, after playing the beta I can officially call this game utter trash.  Yet another typical EA rush job. Actually, just another crap game from EA.  Rushed or not...EA makes crap games.  Period.

That is in 'your opinion' . You cannot speak for the fans of EA who have made very good games for years, otherwise they would not still be in business!

I will buy this game and enjoy the single player mode as I do not want to play multiplayer and have to listen to the garbage spilled out of the mouths of foul mouthed kids that cannot control their aggression and just play it for what it is...A Game..not the B all and End all of entertainment.

I will also buy Black OPs 2, to play in single player, it is my money, my choice.

I have good games that I find have good replay value after sitting on my bookcase for 6 months or more, rarely sell the top FPS games.
But this is only 'My Opinion'.

The single player in this game sucks, because it's way too short, has no replay value and uses old concepts. The multi-player sucks even more, because it's mostly a matter of getting new maps, some changes to weapons and gameplay and doing the same boring thing all over again, which is running around like a idiot in an arcade setting playing against little kids who have nothing better to do than to play this game 4-8 hours day in and day out. There is hardly any strategy and tactics involved, just a matter of quick reactions and knowing your maps. It's a boring and absolutely no challenging experience. It's a quick money making game concept that for some odd reason seems to sell really well among kids like you, so we'll see Medal of Honor/COD/BF 10,11,12,13,14,15, 16,... ~yawn~

It seems to me that if you're getting 6 hours or less from a single-player story mode such as this game or Battlefield 3, then the developers are pandering to the people who play multi-player. That, or what they're saying is that for the level of realism of story and graphics, that you should be happy paying $60 for less than a day's worth of linear gameplay!
