Zorine and Dan chat about their authentic hands-on experience as fireteam buddies in Medal of Honor: Warfighter's multiplayer mode!
Its about time some thing is looking up in mp......I personally would like MOH mp to be a fun experence.
Like I've been saying so far, definitely looking forward to MOH W!!! It does seem to try and incorporate more of the Team Play a lot of gamers have been asking for but of course, you always have the players who just bolt out and one-man-army it the whole time. Hopefully they can pull this off fluidly and YES FOR SURE I hope they fix the spawn killing as it was a MAJOR issue in the first one. Either way, MOH W has my attention and it's already pre-ordered! Hooah!!!
Spawn camping was a HUGE issue in MoH. I really hope they learn from their mistakes and find a way to fix it in Warfighter, though from the video it doesn't seem like it has been fixed.
Might actually be really fun, I've gotten sick of BF3 because of the community (almost every server is air maps only, or city maps only, or 1 map only, or extreme ticket amounts, or insta spawn, or some other odd rule variation). I guess there's always the chance the same thing will happen with this, but it looks like it could be great fun when it first hits at least.
While this may look like CoD and Bf3, it reminds me most of Bad Company 2. The art style and map design remind me quite a bit of it. Wish Dice would just make another Bad Company rather than BF4.
@MrDokas both would be nice :) but you're on the right path
You want to pay for 2+ of almost the same game? How about they deliver ONE game that is great, that has real effort put into it. If we all demand BC, MOH, and BF, they will deliver them all and we will essentially get the CoD rehash treatment (BF4 announcement shows it's already begun).
@ShimmeringSword true, but i guess they trying to create different experiences in each for their respective audiences. MOH is different than BF although they may be similar in some aspects. That's my opinion i guess.
Its what Team Fortress 2 was SUPPOSED to be before it became what it is now. Come to think of it, its what Front Line Force actually WAS (Half-Life 1 Mod) before team play became popular! Oh, well. Better late than never.
not compering it to COD(although it looks like BF3 exactly-da) basically a spec ops version of BF3, but it looks nice....i want to see the execution with that axe!
@danielcliment Best spawn system i've ever seen belongs to Socom Confrontation. Big maps where it's nearly impossible to get to the opposite team's spawn anyhow -- but if you do manage to succeed in gaining the enemy's spawn, there is a second and even third spawn location for the enemy team that are so far from the initial spawn location that the enemy can regroup and take the spawn back.
But i guess that's the advantage of superior map design and lack of laziness on behalf the team who made Confrontation into the greatest shooter in history. BF and CoD are the epitome of laziness in programming and video game design. I was excited about call of duty until CoD3, and then excitement was re-established with Modern Warfare one...now here we are 6 call of duty games later, same engine, same graphics, same lousy hit registration and gun sounds/physics and poorly designed, small maps that encourage commando game-play over team game play.
@Master_Adeum Totally agree, I always played CoD and MW since day one, and just starting to play BF3 and love it, BUT like you said, the laziness of teams and total non co op attitude, like driving out with an LAV for six completely alone... and the killing spawning that is inevitable when you have non moving flags... Las time I played MW was in Num3, after that one it was pathetic the next one they launched, nano maps full of hyperactive 10 year old kids shooting like maniacs....not for me. I'm the old fashion CO OP player, who likes to CO OP!!! not running off like if there was a %50 discounts on on flat tv's...
wow... its BF3... oh wait..
if you want a run and gun get CoD MW, if you want team play get BF3 but this is really just a bf3 remake. same engine, same concepts, new weapons.
I wish Dice/EA would fix the spawn issue though. they should make 3-4 random safe spawn areas. the maps now a days are big enough to permit this, on bf3 they are anyhow
@wenisman Read my above comment.
CoD is using out-dated engines and graphics to keep sucking money from FPS lovers with mediocre games every fall by squeezing as much out of the Call of Duty name as they can.
Same goes for battlefield. The FPS genre needs to undergo major changes before either EA or Activision even THINKS about releasing another P.O.S. game.
I see the effort the developers put into Socom Confrontation: recording and integrating REAL gun sounds to provide the single greatest ambiance i have ever experienced in a shooter. The graphics are STILL (4 years later) top notch. The guns are realistic (none of this SMG being more powerful than an LMG crap we keep getting in call of duty and battlefield games). Snipers are actually useful in Socom (real life, semi auto snipers are not half damage of bolt actions like in Battlefield, rotfl) -- in real life, snipers are one shot one kill.
Call of Duty will never have a good spawn system because developers are too lazy to design maps that can achieve such a thing. CoD is about small maps that promote commando game play -- and the maps are frequently maps that have simply been re-skinned from older call of duty games.
Battlefield is moving in the right direction, but still so far from realistic to be any good (such as a single rpg/missle hit to a jet doesn't bring it down -- and the ridiculous gun damage ratings from people who obviously know absolutely nothing about guns).
The problem with FPS genre? LAZY DEVELOPERS!! Give Slant Six a budget and a new franchise name with no negative connotations attached to it and they will create a vastly superior FPS
@Master_Adeum Why don't you just play military simulations like the old Flashpoint or the ARMA games...? Almost all your complaints are based on a lack of realism... which is NOT what most people look for in shooters.
Does anyone know if Zorine has her own podcast? i pu her on my top 5 for people who have the best voices where i can literally listen to all day #1 bob ross (of course) but i put zorine at 3 or 4
