    I don't actually see a japanese version listed on playasia.com. I just see an Asian version. Shown here:

    http://www.play-asia.com/Metal_Gear_Rising_Revengeance_Comes_with_PreOrder_Cyborg_Ninja_D/paOS-13-71-bp-49-en-70-5vbj.html

    Would this contain the white blood, or does it specifically have to say Japanese version? And if so, where can I get it?

    The asian version is the same thing as the japanese version unless it's specifically the Asian English version usually released after the general asian version.

    Two reasons really.

    #1. Too much blood makes me feel faint. Gets me nauseous. Even tho I know the white blood is essentially the same thing, it doesn't seem to have the same effect on me subconsciously. I guess it feels a little less real.

    #2. My friend, who knows more about the Metal Gear series than myself says that apparently white blood is more accurate(?). I don't know enough to confirm this or not, but I remember way back when I played 4, Raiden's blood looked white I believe.

    Oh ok sweet! That's great, cuz I think the asian version is the same price as ours.

    #2 - I wouldn't necessarily say that white blood is more accurate since MGS4 didn't state what blood color all cyborgs had, but it was just the color of the artificial blood Raiden's body used and Raiden's cybernetics were outdated. It would have been nice to have both colors as an option though.

    That's odd, too much blood makes me feel faint too... Never had a problem with video games though that's gotta suck, Raiden had white blood in 4 but it was expired so red blood works too

    The white blood was a synthetic blood substitute used by cyborgs but Rising is set four years after MGS4 and cyborg technology has greatly evolved. Red cyborg blood is equally plausible. The Japanese version really has white blood because otherwise the game would get a higher age rating which would decrease sales.

    Oh ok. Yeah a blood toggle option would've been great.

    So is this game cannon, and if so, does that mean officially cyborg blood is red?

    Or, (assuming the game is cannon) would a person constitute the Japanese version to be the definitive version, and therefore that cyborg blood should be white?

    Edit. Nevermind, I guess Rising_shadow kinda answers that in the post above me.

    It is canon. As already stated, Raiden's artificial blood in MGS4 was, even at that point in the timeline, an outdated version.

    Edit: Region-locked, according to Play-Asia? Dayum...

    Don't worry, Play-Asia is just playing it safe, after the incident with the demo. As far as I am aware, I believe it was confirmed the actual game won't be region locked.

    your friend is wrong, the cyborgs you fight aren't nearly as cybernetic as Raiden is therefore they wouldn't need the synthetic blood like Raiden does.

    My version contains black blood but I still faint at the site

    odd. It's just the sight of my own blood that makes me feel faint. though i did cut my thumb up nasty when that happened, might have nicked a vein and that's what made me feel faint. Oh well, I learned a good cure for feeling faint, a righteous *****slap and reminding that you've had worse injuries. I'm accident prone.

    I've been considering this as well. I want the white blood because I think it is just stylish. It looks so sool when I see those trailers of cyborgs getting cut up. It stands out and you can see the spray very neatly. If the Japanese version is region locked that kinda sucks.

    Pretty sure it was already mentioned, but Raiden's blood was white in 4 because he had an older type of synthetic blood, one that was outdated at the time.

    Since between 4 and MGR he got a new body, it's safe to say he updated everything, and that new synthetic blood is red.

    red = canon
    white = STYLISH

    I vote for stylish.
    Is it region locked?
