that would be some bull if they canceled it
  • Dec 31, 2012 2:28 pm GMT
yeah, i played the 360 demo which was full of screen tear and inconsistent framerate....would be criminal not for it to come to pc in the current market.

The only reason this game still has a PC version board on here is because rather than make a new one for MGRR after MGSR was cancelled, they simply renamed the latter to fit the former. The last announcement I heard regarding a PC port is that they haven't considered it but would give it some thought if there was enough demand. In other words go make your voices heard! There are a few ways to contact both Platinum and Konami, afterall.

Pfft, I would have liked for Vanquish to come to PC too so I could get solid 60fps gameplay at that speed but...it didn't.

Here I paste what I have written on the PS3 board:

They even have a working PC Version because the pic that Kojima posted on Twitter (the one where he shows Grey Fox skin) is taken from the PC Version (he plays it with a connected 360 Controller).

I even think that it is the real PC Version and not a 360devkit because the Windows Taskbar is on the left side and the game runs in windowed mode without any other tasks visible.

So yeah, I cross my fingers that they will release it for PC and not cancel it (Would be a dumb move Konami).

BTW, PlatinumGames even said that they want their games also available on the PC (e.g. Steam) and MGR would be a perfect beginning.

God, I've wanted that for so long.

I can't imagine how amazing Vanquish would be at 60+ FPS and with full mouse control.

You could do all kinds of crazy maneuvers on PC that you couldn't do on console too.

It hurts knowing that it'll never happen.

No, I'd still play it with a controller.

You can never shake the console gamer from me.

i hope for a pc version too, nearly all the new games coming out on the ps3 and 360 are getting pretty sloppy in hardware performance, always either major dips in fps or lack of graphical detail, pop in textures and so on

I assume when you say "sloppy", you mean "the console limitations". You can only do so much, and we've hit that threshold for consoles a long time ago.

    Here is the full article:

"It seems that a PC version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is already up and running at Konami’s HQ, despite the fact that the game was announced for consoles only. Truth be told, Konami stated – a while back – that they were considering porting MGR: Revengeance on the PC and while we haven’t got any official details about a possible PC version, Kojima has shared an image from the PC version of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

The Limited Edition of the game will feature a Cyborg suit for Raiden and in order to showcase it, Kojima shared the following shot. As we can see, Kojima is playing Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance on the PC with an X360 gamepad. It’s ironic, but from the looks of it, MGR: Revengeance has already been ported to the PC platform.

What’s also interesting is that Kojima Productions’ Korekado Yuji (lead programmer) confirmed that this test was done on the PC version. Korekado Yuji did not say anything about an X360 devkit, meaning that this could very well be the PC version of the game, up and running.

Question now is whether Konami will decide to release or scrap this PC project."

So yeah, it is Konami's decision now if they will bring this over to the PC or not. Heck I will buy 2 copies of this game if they release it for the PC!

You can use a controller with PC.

You CAN but you'd be looked down upon by other PC players for doing so.

Err...how is that even a factor into your gaming experience? Are there dozens of disgruntled PC players physically in your room looking over your shoulder yelling and criticizing your use of the controller while you attempt to play the game?

This doesn't even seem like a rational thought to have to me, caring what people who are not present in the room think. Hell even if they hypothetically WERE in the room, this game is designed for controller anyway.....
