metal gear so far

    i just watched an episode of escape from mount stupid and it was about metal gear.after watching all the titles in the series it seem metal gear lost  a lot of it formulars that made it special.one of which is the absolute feeling of terror,back then using your cardboard box,locker,stealth and desposing of enemy bodies where of top priority,i remember the tension i felt when under alert phase because i knew when discorved my chances of survival where slim.another factor was low ammo,back then realistic amount of amminution made you think carefully & stragisticly in order to avoide confrontating a number of enemies.another factor in conjuction with confrontation was limited life,in the initial start of the game you have a small health making direct combat a very bad idea.another factor which isn't too important is survaeillances.in mgs 1 there used to be cameras and infrared panels,mgs 2 enhanced this elements by applying the cypher and gun cypher which brought variation in tactics, in fact i remember in mgs 2 there is certain enemy that climbs a tower with binoculars which he uses to survey certain area of the big shell.but as the series went on it lost most of its stealth element until mgs 4 which consists of serval health pack with the addition of regenerative health,derbin system was an abomination and turned metal gear into a corridor shooter.i only hope that zeroes can return MGS  to it roots.
