"Masterpiece"

Very few games have the ambition to have all cheezy-ness and epic-ness that constitutes this game. But beyond the ambition is that they manage to make it so well, that it's game and story that will be remembered for decades. For fans, many features of the game will heavily hit on their nostalgia, so much that even if the game wasn't perfect, it certainly would seem to be. The issue with previous metal gear was that it was a game series that was so ahead of it's time, there was simply way too much errors in the game play system (especially the ridiculous camera angles). But now with this generation of systems, the game mechanics have been perfected, so the game now purely relies upon the skills of the player. It punishes you relatively heavily, especially on harder difficulties, but it isn't unwarranted punishment. Few games leave the impact that will lead you to remember very fondly the game every time that it crosses your mind with such a strong sense of nostalgia, but Metal Gear Solid 4 manages to accomplish this, and so much more.
