We bring you a video of the Metal Gear Solid 4 tech demo shown off at the unveiling of Sony's Next Generation Portable.
Boy, it really show syou how dated and old the hardware in these "next gen" consoles are when there is a portable handheld that can now make games look just as good as consoles. It's time for new consoles in my opinion, or i'll just stick with my PC.
man this is hell i dreamed to have a ps3 5 years i waited i am a mgs fan and i just got a ps3 last christhmas just starting to feel happy playing the game that i looked in all next gen tv show a month ago before i knew about this psp2 then i was in sorrows all those years saving up money for nothing my dream playing mgs4 was fulfilled but this tore me apart--------le˛pioje
Did anyone else go in their pants when they saw these graphics?? AND why does that interpreter sound soooo BOOOOORING, her voice alone almost made me not watch this, thank you mute button.
@WickedWeavile The gap hasn't really closed. The problem is that we're still dealing with the same generation of consoles that began in 2005 with the 360. That there is a handheld that can produce the same processing power as a 6-year-old console should not surprise anyone.
man... I thought it would be a different game too... atleast it looks good. they should now make any and every ps3 title onto the handheld. that'd be sick. ALSO IF THEY DO RELEASE THIS GAME AND IT COMES WITH COMPETITIVE ONLINE THEY SHOULD REALLY CONSIDER FIXING THE INTENSE FRAMERATE DROPS THAT WERE PRESENT IN MGO. That's all i care about. smooth, screen-tearless gameplay.
It's amazing how rapidly the graphics divide between handhelds and home consoles has closed. Only a mere decade or so ago we had the Gameboy Color being sold alongside the PS2 and they weren't even comparable in terms of visuals. Now we have the NGP/PSP2 matching the current gen consoles graphically. Just spectacular.
damn,,, will the ngp even run if play this game, i mean,, damnn... smoke will come out from the ngp. :O
So they adapt MGS4 for the PSP2 but they still won't do a Trophie patch for the PS3... Konami needs to put his act together come on!
guys i dont understand so they say it has a new based cartridge,so the UMD is gone for sure?yeah?but what about a memory slot, does it have that?
Thats awesome that it can even get close to a big console i think its pretty good and i love the it has 2 joystick and it looks good over all
Tech demos rarely ever look what the final games will look like, they general look worse then there tech demos. imo it dont look like ps3 quality. Look some what close, but when you playing on smaller screen anything will look good specially at much lower resolutions that arent even close to HD. Though I do look forward to seeing the prices they cooked up for it. Lately most handhelds have been hitting console prices of last gen 300+$
Whoa, the voice acting is god awful. I had no idea. David Hayter is the man, even more so after hearing this garbage.
You gotta admit when you first saw the debut of 3DS, its like "Impressive!". But, since the debut of PSP2 aka NGP so far, its like "HOLY SH*T", seriously. This thing totally raises the bar of handheld entertainment. And funny how they chose the name, NGP Nintendo Got Pwned!
Remember all those rumors about trophies on PS3 MGS4? You think Konami pulled the carpet on that cuz they are planning to include them here and hope people buy it?
anyone who thinks the Japanese voice acting is good should be deported. in the metal gear series English>Japanese there is no comparison. BTW this video is just a re use. its no different at all. this isn't even gameplay from the PSP2
Japanese voice acting is so much better than the western crap they dub the games with it's not even funny. Some people seem to think that distorting your voice or talking in a low tone makes them cool and interesting, instead it makes them sound like they're doing a commercial, pathetic. No, I'll take some real skillful Japanese voice acting over the crap they force us to listen to now, any day.
Blimey with Snake sounded like a right tart in japanese I don't know how they can think he is a badass with that voice lmao. Sounds constantly suprised. Glad David steals the show for our english versions ;)
If this video looks bad, it's because of the camera recording the video. There are other recordings on the net that are much smoother and more accurate than this one.
I am not sure if its me computer but those graphics seemed pretty bad if it is supposed to match the PS3. Let us not forget MGS4 is in the top 5 of the best graphics for a ps3 game but then again this seems pretty choppy.
@Joker1232003 It will be using an SD type game media. This allows the SD card itself to be upgraded over time. For instance, the largest psp memory stick is 32 GB. When the psp came out the largest memory stick was around 1GB. But of course it could also be a tech demo just to get us excited.
Sorry but am I the only one that thought those graphics actually looked pretty bad compared to even the 360? It was very bland and not smooth at all.
Lol now that I think of it this thing really does have better graphics than the wii! That is kinda sad actually...
