A new game in the metal gear Solid franchise was announced at the 25th anniversary event in Tokyo; titled Ground Zeroes, it hints at open world gameplay, and runs on the new Fox engine.

2 Like When they said open world, and described alarms not being the end, I imagined a multiple paths, and a glorified version of peace walker and the parachute system thing.... But the announcer in the "four extar minutes" video mentions open world several times, and says you can steal AND pilot vehicles?!? This open world notion is suddenly sounding VERY interesting to me....
By the looks of it its Big Boss (Judging by the shoulder patch). My guess is that the game's going to be about the feud between Big Boss and Zero that takes place in the time setting of after Peace Walker and before MGS1.

Hang on, GameSpot is saying here that the new game is being tailored to current and next gen machines, but the news article yesterday said it was just current gen. So what's the script?
MGS: GZ developed with multi-platform engine, and GS said the demo uses Xbox controller connected to the PC, so yeah, 90% chance, it will come to Xbox 360.
Looks like Big boss. I mean, the suit just looks it, and he appears to be holding an FNC, which is a little old now.
Aww dammit man, I thought y'all was gonna show us some gameplay goodness! So mean! >_<
