@4JSteve - I have tried to create a chicken farm but when I get a certain distance from the farm the chickens disappear.
Not entirely though, I seem to have two or three 'ghost' chickens, there is nothing in the pen but random eggs keep appearing from time to time.
Also wheat doesn't seem to attract animals, I was waving it in their face but they just ignored me. I realise that breeding isn't in but I thought you could corral animals with wheat?

I thought that the lava and water buckets were only one-time use when creative first appeared in the PC version? Wasn't the "bottomless" version of the buckets added in a later update?
Also, the Ender Pearls don't have a use yet. It's not a glitch, it's just kind of like the slime balls were when the game was first released; you can get them, but their use comes with a later update.

I'm gonna have to side with Knight, I don't even know how Mander has become ''the most liked and respected poster''. If he was actually the ''king'' of this board, it would become apparent as to why this board sucks. A stuck-up guy with a bunch of other guys who are also on their high.. ponies.

I'm not sure, but I have checked numerous seeds and have yet to find a single piece of clay. I hope this isn't like the early minecraft where clay was nonexistant on most seeds.

Take some sugar cane for an air pocket and go to the bottom of an ocean biome. Boat loads of clay down there my friend.

A few random glitches occured to me.
1. An Enderman picked up a cactus and was just walking with one leg, taking small babysteps. I followed him around for a bit, and once he left the desert, he just died.
2. My chest went invisible, but still usable. Opening it caused it to flicker in visibility.
3. A creeper blew up in front of my house, and all furniture in the back (bed, chest filled with tools for me and a friend), completely disappeared. (thankfully, I managed to salvage the gunpowder, my friend was laughing at me about it and, while he went to the mine he was working on, I decided to gift him with a special doormat...)
4. Creeper explosion volume seems raised and a bit more ambient (A creeper blew up 20 blocks away, and it sounded like it was right next to me)

Also, for me, as for animal spawns:
Pigs: Only seen one, which my friend blindly killed
Chickens: 2
Sheep: Heard them, but only found wolves where the sound came from
Wolves: EVERYWHERE!!!!
Squids: 20 blocks underwater, very hard to see
Monsters seem to spawn in posses now. I once saw about 5 Endermen sharing the same 4 blocks of land, 3 creepers nearby playing Ring Around the Rosy with a cactus. Also, I was attacked by 6 creepers at the same time. I even found a small cave under my house, and it was filled with skeletons (around 8 skeletons)

Yeah, the lack of any animals on the handful of maps I've generated since the update is pretty bad. Not to mention how easy it is to create maps that are lacking so many things. Animals, specific tree types, certain biomes, block types. Pretty disappointing in general. Actually think the game was better pre-patch.

I never would've thought to look there, although, I think the seed that I've decided would be my new home doesn't have an ocean biome

The tests done in Cert testing are completely different from regular testing.
