This is only the second time I've tried building a slime farm, first one went without a hitch, this one however...
I'm using the seed 'Overlord' (594468329), as recomended by a user off this board (Great seed btw). I used that slime chunk finder thing that seems to be the norm for finding slimes, the co-ordinates most suited for uses were X-255 Y 48 - X-272 Y63. I built my 3 story slime farm & illuminated all surrounding areas & the rooms themselves but haven't had a single slime spawn yet, I've waited like half an hour.
Anyone got any advice that could help my situation? Failing that, anyone want to see if they can get slimes spawning using my co-ordinates?
Thanks in advance!

Maybe try expanding the area? I've heard the slime finder can sometimes be wrong, but its always worked for me.

Where is my mind?

Well, I double checked your coordinates using my Android slime finder app and it agrees with your x/z coordinates. So as long as your farm is below y=40 then you shouldn't be having problems. Make sure you are not on peaceful(not mocking you, of course). And everything is lit up properly. You're not using half slabs in the slime farm?

Thanks for double checking the co-ordinates for me. I'm definetely not on Peacefull as my skelly/ zombie grinders are working (They're FAAAAAR away also, so I know they're not affecting the slimes). & yup, I'm defo below level 40, I started from 1 level above bedrock & went upwards.
I think best bet is to maybe extend it outwards a few rows & maybe build a couple more levels (Only built 3 to see if I had any luck first). Thanks for the quick replies guys. I'll post back in the morning with how my reworking goes (Nearly 4am here! lol)

You're welcome.

A tip for lighting in case that is an issue: uses jack-o-lanterns. Slimes can spawn on them if you use them for flooring. My farm starts at bedrock and goes up to 40. 17x17x3 with a full 17x17x1 jack-o-lantern floor/roof for every two floors. Like this:
S= stone, A=air, J=jack-o-lanterns,B=Bedrock
S
A
A
A
J
A
A
A
B
The lantern floor/roof works very well to light both floors. Maybe this could help you.

Just a quick update if you guys are interested. I expanded my current 3 floors by 2 blocks all around & had 1 slime spawn so that confirmed the co-ordiantes worked, I then went on to extend upwards & build a few more floors - it was then, I found out I had a MOHOOSIVE cave system & mineshaft right above where I was building my slime farm! I took my time lighting up the majority of this cave/ mineshaft & found that slimes spawn more regualy now but not as much as I'd like.
My next step is to make 10 floors, I currently have 6, & see if that helps.
On a side note, when going through the cave & mineshaft, I ended up finding a slime chunk inside the mineshaft!

Thanks for the help & advice though, muchly appreciated & we can consider this, case closed!

If you haven't tried this, give it a try. Go all te way back up, then go back down. I'v waited for days it seems but when i go back up and down (slowly) they spawn.

I usually just go down to the farm every couple days. They are just there. Plus I believe the level 40 height adjustment won't our chances either.
