- Nov 29, 2012 11:38 am GMTAnyone interested in making a Klingon Bird of Prey with me? I have a very, very nice world. Over 1/6th of my world is covered already and it's spectacular. But it really needs a Bird of Prey over the desert somewhere. I was also thinking of making an Enterprise 1701-A with battle damage.
They're going to be big, but not huge. You'll be able to walk around inside and we'll do the different types of rooms they have; mostly following schematics of course. And http://plotz.co.uk has an online app that will let us make perfect ovals/circles easily.
If you're interested, comment here with your GT or send it to me in a private message. - Nov 29, 2012 11:46 am GMTYou spelled Star Wars wrong.

From a distance It will look like an invasion of storm troopers.

**** Star Wars now. I'd rather have put up with more of George Lucas's butchering of the franchise than to have Disney control it. Disney plan on making Episode 7, 8 and 9 with brand-new stories. Translation: They're going to take everything from the Expanded Universe and throw it out the ****ing window. No more Yuuzhan Vong, no more Jacen Solo becoming Darth Caedus and resulting battle with his sister Jayna, no more resurrection and re-defeat of Palpatine... Disney is going to Screw everything up.
Watch, I'll predict the plot of Episode 7: Mickey Mouse with Jedi robes and a lightsaber he meets up with Yoda, who is alive again for no explained reason. They become bestest friends forever and go on wacky, lighthearted adventures, and no one dies because Disney wont show death these days!
I jumped ship to Star Trek, specifically The Next Generation. Watching it on Netflix, I see that I should have been with Next Gen all along. I'll still watch and be a fan of the pre-Disney Star Wars movies and cartoons, but nothing from here on out.

TNG > DS9 > TOS > Enterprise = Voyager

Cir-variant Android - Dec 6, 2012 6:12 pm GMTI think you're partially right. Overall I think TNG is better, but DS9 was a pleasant surprise. I saw TNG on first airing and haven't watched it since. I skipped DS9 when it was on TV (first run) but I finally watched it recently. Are you saying Voyager is equal to Enterprise? O_O I'm watching TOS now and not enjoying it very much. ENT was better (showed more promise) than TOS, which is blatantly ridiculous most of the time. VOY was a good attempt and had several great episodes near the end. *forcefully forgets Flotter*

I thought both Voyager and Enterprise had a lot of potential, and towards the end of both series they started to pick up steam with that and became really quite good (compared to the 'decent' that I'd give them for every other season). I don't think half a season or less for both shows is enough to justify them being above The Original Series on my ranking though. It has a ton of camp appeal, and that's just awesome in its own way.
DS9 was really good though. It was the best of TNG in many ways, and went a bit farther with being just a tad bit darker. However, I felt while the characters in DS9 were great, they never had the same iconic appeal to me as the crew of the Enterprise-D. Picard just wins out, man.

Why do people think Disney has absolutely no business sense. Why would they do anything like that. You may get a Disney channel one-off like you're complaining about but not a number series entry.
Disney is one of the most successful and respect companies in the entertainment industry. Marvel movies didn't go down hill when Disney bought them. Now the Star Wars series has a chance to be written by capable writers and great directors making this film.
The only 2 Star Wars movies that aren't mediocre weren't written or directed by George Lucas. He himself has already done more damage to the franchise than Disney will ever do.

TNG>TOS>DS9
And Voyager and Enterprise don't get to make the list. They don't count.
