Will this game work on my 3DS?

im wondering, if i get this game will it work on my 3DS. like how the Japanese ps3 games work on the american ps3. im wondering if itll work on and american 3DS

Monster hunter 3 ultimate=North american game. So yeah.

MH3U will work on your US 3ds but it's not the same as the jap-PS3 games working on US-PS3 console, since 3ds are region lock and will only read game with the same region as the handheld itself, while PS3 are not region lock and will read every game there is on the market whether it's a jap or us game.

MH3U will work on a PAL or a NTSC 3ds, but not on a japanesse 3ds, likewise MH3G will work with a japanesse 3ds but not with a PAL or NTSC 3ds

The region of your game must match the region of the system, otherwise the system will act like there's no game card inserted.
