I remember 14 years ago I would go over my cousins' house and would just watch them go against each other over and over again. They were pretty good! They knew almost every fatality! They would also start to put cheat codes in the game, it was amazing! They would just enter the cheat codes from the main menu like it was nothing! They did not need any references, they knew it by heart! It was also crazy at how fast they would just put the cheat codes in! Perhaps the reason why it looked like they knew almost every fatality was because maybe they used the "1 button fatality" cheat code the whole entire time, having me fooled! I also remember that their was this member that went to my family's church (he was also the guy that used to cut my hair when I was really little; I used to move around a lot in his chair because I hated the razors, and he would have to wrestle me down to keep me still, leaving him nervous and sweating while trying to cut my hair, which was very funny) knew Mortal Kombat 3 also. He was also good at the game. 10 years ago, he came over my house to challenge me in Mortal Kombat 3; he would get Kabal, and I would get Sub-Zero. We must have played 3 times, and I beat him every single time, my mother was watching us. It was not until his third attempt that I humiliated him in front of my mom: not only did I finally beat him with a "Flawless Victory", but I finally used Sub-Zero's fatality where he raises the opponent in the air, freezes them, and breaks them in half! We all had a lot fun overall. He probably still remembers that humiliating defeat, I know my mom does! My father and I also played this together when I was little, he still even remembers that same exact fatality that I did on him as I did to the guy who cut my hair (raises the opponent in the air, freezes them, and breaks them in half)!

Story: 7/10
- The storyline seems to be the same as Mortal Kombat II to me, probably because Shao Kahn is the villain again or something. In any case, this was a direct continuation from Mortal Kombat II. Fed up with continuous losses in tournament battle, Shao Kahn, who had lost to Liu Kang in the Outworld tournament, enacts a 10,000 year-old plan. He would have his Shadow Priests, led by Shang Tsung; revive his former Queen Sindel, who unexpectedly died at a young age. However, she would not be revived in the Outworld. She would be resurrected in the Earthrealm. This would allow Shao Kahn to cross the boundary lines and reclaim his queen. When Sindel is reincarnated in Earthrealm, Shao Kahn reaches across the dimensions to reclaim her. As a consequence of his action, the Earthrealm becomes a part of the Outworld, instantly stripping billions of their souls. Only a few are spared, as Raiden protects their souls. He tells them that Shao Kahn must be stopped, but he cannot interfere; due to his status, he has no power in Outworld, and Earthrealm is partially merged with Outworld. Shao Kahn has unleashed extermination squads to roam throughout the Earthrealm and kill any survivors. Also, Raiden's protection only extends to the soul, not to the body, so his chosen warriors have to fight the extermination squads and repel Shao Kahn. Eventually with his final defeat, every human on Earthrealm comes back.

Gameplay: 10/10
- The gameplay has improved, since everything is now fast-paced and easier, and I am now able to beat the computer with little difficulty compared to how Mortal Kombat II was. Nothing has changed from the gameplay of Mortal Kombat except the ability to now run across the screen and to do combos on opponents. The game does has less gore than Mortal Kombat II though. I rated Mortal Kombat 3's gameplay higher than on the Sega Genesis version because I am more comfortable with the control scheme on this system.

Graphics: 9/10
- The graphics are excellent! They look a lot clearer and better than on the Sega Genesis version!

Sound: 9/10
- The sound effects of the game are better and clearer also than on the Sega Genesis version. The music sounds better than the Sega Genesis' version. Compared to Mortal Kombat II's music and Mortal Kombat 3's music...they are at each other's neck, meaning it is a draw between the 2.

Overall, I give this game a 9 out of 10. I would definitely prefer this over the Sega Genesis version, if you want to enjoy Mortal Kombat 3 to the max.
